Tarrant County's Credit Union Reviews

matthew lewis1I wish I could give this place zero stars. First off they won't validate parking unless you sit down with a teller. Then their shared credit union system was down so I couldn't even get my money out. I asked if my parking could validated and the lady refused. Thanks for wasting my time and money. I need to open another bank account but definitely won't do so here. Update: I later went to Fort Worth city credit union that same day just minutes later and they were able to take care of my needs. This was another shared branch credit union.
Response from the ownerHi Matthew - Looks like we missed all the marks for you today. We do not, however, control the CO-OP Shared Branch network. It was down, like you say, but it wasn't just here. It was nationwide. When that occurs, only your primary financial institution can help you. Now the parking thing - that is true. This isn't the greatest location to pop in for a quick transaction. We don't validate for the parking lot unless you are here to handle business outside of teller transactions. There are meters out front; that's what most shared branch guests use. Have a great day.

Brenda Sue1This bank is a joke they’re all brain dead the collections department needs to re school Christy she is rude .. un professional and needs to be taught some phone manners our truck payments are taken out of our check before it is even posted to the account but yet she says we are behind and when you look at the payments made the last one was last week right there in BLACK AND WHITE wow just fing wow !! I mean seriously look at the review rating 2.8 that should be enough for you !

Bree Lexxi1Very disappointed with this bank. Everytime they told me no, Fort Worth Community Credit Union told me yes. I was just trying to transfer all my accounts over because it’s closer to home. Best not to do business here. FTWCCU is a much better bank and way more easier to work with. This bank claims to care about their clients, that’s a lie. They only service you if you have exceptional credit, I’m talking about 700-800 score. Not the place to rebuild credit. This lady named Melissa sells the bank as if they will finance “anything with a motor” and they work with you and they care and they are such a great bank. They are not. Go to Fort Worth Community Credit Union. This bank is a waste of time and not very helpful at all, especially for those that are trying to rebuild their credit.
Response from the ownerBriana R: We do care about our members, so please contact the Member Service Manager today at 817.884.1470 to discuss the transfers you are referencing. Thank you! EDIT 11/4/2019: While we do our best for all members, of every credit score range, there are instances where we are unable to help due to our lending guidelines. Fort Worth CCU appears to better suit your needs at this time and we are happy that you found a credit union (and not a bank) to help you with your financial needs. If we can be of assistance in the future, please let us know.

Impressive Moments Media1I have banked with TCCu for 10 years. Each time I try for a consolidation, they remimd me of my credit score. It wouldnt be so bad if they didnt tell you your service with the State matters. Maybe if you're white. But a as a black women. I feel they go above and beyond to disqualify me. W. Jordan
Response from the ownerMs. Jordan – We are sorry we couldn’t help you with your request. We make every effort to qualify our borrowers within our lending guidelines, which are based on credit scores and other qualifiers. Please feel free to reach out to our lending manager if you would like to discuss this further at 817-884-1470. We’d be happy to review your account with you.

David Kilpatrick1Been a member here over 25 years and am now shopping for a new bank or c.u. Jerked me around twice on what should have been simple, quick loans. One land loan took nearly 3 weeks of back-and-forth with a third party loan review company in Houston before TCCU staff decided to tell us they didn’t do land loans, I’d just have to do a mortgage. Big difference. Would have been nice to know up front. Loan staff are hard to get ahold of, they seem to dump it all on this lackadaisical company in Houston that could care less. On the other side of the house, their savings rates are way below market, their app is okay now, but your data is unavailable most nights for hours on end. Overall, used to be a big fan of this place but it’s gone downhill and isn’t worth the trouble any more.
Response from the ownerMr. Kilpatrick, we are concerned to read about your unhappiness with our service and that we were unable to fulfill requests to your satisfaction. Feel free to reach out to a member of our Executive Team if you would like to discuss this matter further.

Jacob Patton1RESPONSE to TCCU repsonse... Funny how y'all blame COVID for y'all shortcomings but yet y'all will report people late payments on loans during COVID.... Must be nice to have your cake and eat it too. They are getting a lot of bad reviews lately and now I see why, their customer service and technology are extremely lacking. They just make up stuff as they go, no consistency.
Response from the ownerHello, JP. We along with many other financial institutions and businesses, were met with challenges beyond our control when COVID-19 came along. Our CEO & Executive Team formulated plans in quick order to take care of our members and our staff. It is clear that you were not pleased with how we handled things. We'd like a chance to discuss what went wrong so that we can make improvements for the future. Please call and ask to speak with a member of management.

Rann Williams1Initially when the account was opened there was a woman that assisted me. This person stated that the particulars would be sent through email. Nonetheless nothing was ever sent. I had to call and finally I spoke to another person, explained the situation and this person immediately assisted. Now, the first person which was the face if contact was quite on her own pedestal, she rushed, did not explain. But, then again how soon people forget: they are not doing customers a favor, without customers they would NOT have employment.
