  Very disappointed with the process. They approved my application 7yrs ago for a 2014 ford fusion. I was paying 650 a month for 7yrs. (Do the math). I will not talk about the interest rate.. I agreed to this terms. I put in alot of money, is my point.The car was payed off last month. That same vehicle transmission went out. It going to cost me 8,000 to repair. I figured since Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union help me with my last car loan and help me when my wife was dealing with cancer. They helped me to get to ownership in these tough times. My credit report is the same has it was years ago with the exception I paid off the car loan I gotten from them, also paid off a secured loan of 3,000. You figure getting a loan from them now would be easier.They denied me.. I assumed they was for the people and there communities but they just proved me wrong. Part 2. The underwriter calls, seems confuse on why disagree with her outcome. After re-explaining the situation, she said I wouldn't be able to afford the loan on my own because I don't make enough. Told lady I been paying my rent for 3yrs with out a missed payment, I was paying 650 for a car loan. I explained that I can afford max about 350 a month and either needed the money to get a new car or the money to fix the old car. Which ever she prefers. She replied by saying someone will reach out, which no one has. *** It amazes me to know someone who didn't pay on time due to his wife having cancer and was going thru a pandemic, still manages to pay off the car loan in full. Don't know about you, but this is a person I want to continue doing business with. Don't you think?*** Since this bank is all about numbers and not about the people, it's disappointing. I am not talking about the friendly people in the front. I am talking about the lady who is in management that makes these decisions. They me feel like was worthless for going through this situation and not paying on time but ignoring the fact I payed it off. *** I got approved with the same situation with Navy Credit Union and Capital One. Interest rates is a little higher but it's worth it. Thanks Navy Credit Union and Capital One. As for Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union thank you for pointing me in the right direction to these bank that want my business 👏👍***

  This is the worse bank ever. I do not recommend them especially if you are in the military. This bank is not Military friendly and are never available. If a soldier is deployed and overseas, this bank is useless. If you’re in the military I suggest using USAA and Navy Federal . They are always available and have way better customer service!

  I walked in for simple menber services and I was greeted by Sharon. She excelled in customer service and also helped me refinance my car! I felt like my best interest was first and that's why I love my bank! Thanks Sharon! You rock!

  Their loan process takes a very long time. I’ve applied for a credit card and auto refinance more than three weeks ago and I’m still waiting on the decision. They ask a lot of questions, go through every inquiry and a lot of back and forth without any indication if you’re approved or not. They even requested for docs that my student loans are in deferment. Their credit process is the same as for a home loan. I know that credit unions do manual review of each application, but they have to do automatic approval to save their members time and effort before getting denied. They’re the worst credit union ever.

  Be careful!! I refinanced my car and gave all all insurance information when I applied. Received a letter in mail saying $900.00 was added to my account for lack of insurance. I GAVE THIS INFORMATION ALREADY!! Very frustrating when I have to do this all over again with my busy full time employment. LET ME STOP EVERYTHING AND WORK ON THIS ONCE AGAIN. Also, instead of mailing with this situation, how about calling your customer. Poor business practices.
