      Tahoe Rental managed our home at Lake Tahoe for 3 years. The staff and owner, Cindy, were always quick to respond and provide support - often going out of their way. Not only did they ensure we had a full calendar, but they took excellent care of our property when we were away. Would definitely recommend them for rentals and property management.

      I reserved a house on Airbnb that had a strict cancellation policy. I realized after booking there was a discrepancy in the room configurations shown on the listing. I reached out for support and found Tahoe Rental Company very supportive. I was issued a full refund.

      Our group of 6 rented the property on 6120 Lark Drive Homewood CA for a full 6 days. Beautiful property but absolutely terrible management ! Upon arrival the property was not clean, there were wet socks in the bathroom and in the living room! Also an unrecognizable pill in the bedroom (thank God we didn’t have kids with us) but clearly no one cleaned the property before our arrival ! The washer was also not working which was crucial after being on the road for a week ! After calling we were told it would arrive Thursday….. never arrived or were we notified. So we called again and were then informed it would arrive AFTER July 4th ! We understood but not even a voucher was given for such an inconvenience. Mind you we have an additional week we will be on the road ! They provided 2 rolls of toilet paper (one which was halfway gone) for the entire group for the ENTIRE week ! We were expected to go and purchase additional ! Also, the HOA pass is not necessary for a public beach & the pool area, we’ll we never found it.

As noted on all our check in information, under the tab, items to bring, we do note that you must bring your own supplies, as we set up a starter pack of all supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, etc., for your vacation. As noted in our calls to you prior to and during your stay, the new washer and dryer were due to arrive, however, out of our control the delivery did not happen.       Our group of 15 rented a property through VRBO in December 2020 and loved the house, so we rented it again for Christmas 2021. Mid-year, the owner switched from VRBO to Tahoe Rental Company and it all went downhill... They decreased the number of beds, which we discovered upon arrival. (2 queen beds instead of 4 twin, which had accommodated our group of kids so well). Really? 2 queen beds in a huge master bedroom? Do they expect it to be shared by 2 couples? There was a leak in the upstairs master bedroom (which we were warned about, but it required an inconvenient furniture rearrangement) and a leak in the laundry room (which we discovered upon arrival). The lights were not working in one of the rooms. Our group has been renting through Airbnb and VRBO for 6 years and we have always received excellent reviews for leaving a house clean. Despite the little time we had (10am checkout), we put all the sheets and towels in the laundry room and even started a load of laundry, we washed ALL the dishes and we even had to clean the dishwasher filter during our stay, because it had not been cleaned in years. The cleaning company (Luxury Cleaning) charges $380 (!!!) for a cleaning, regardless of the length of stay. Our stay was 2 weeks, and we made an effort to leave everything as clean as possible, but for $380 the cleaning company should expect to have some cleaning to do. Yet, they charged us $140 extra! In the photos they sent, there was trash we had not left on the floor (and even if we had, did they expect not to have to sweep the floors?). They had dragged a bag of flour we had left in the cupboard on the floor, and probably some trash from the trash bags we left outside (because the trash had not been picked up from the outdoor trash bins, there was no more room, so the agency told us to leave the trash bags by the door). I am appalled by the dishonesty of the Tahoe Rental Company. Cindy, the agency owner, refused to recognize that charging $140 on top of a $380 cleaning fee was dishonest. If they expect people to do a full professional cleaning before they leave, then they should not charge for cleaning in addition to the rental price. Why bother having a cleaning company? I do not recommend this agency and we are sad to no longer rent this beautiful house. I hope the owner goes back to VRBO... ___ In response to the agency owner's reply: 1) We were NOT warned about the new bed configuration at any point before our visit. 2) The skylight leak was not "potential" but real. 3) The house was far from being a "disaster". We did a walk-through before leaving and there was nothing that would require "hours" of extra cleaning.

      We appreciate reviews and take them seriously. We look to mitigate and rectify any issue beforehand, and this review is no different. The home that Anna stayed in was completely redone with all new beds, bedding, and furniture throughout. It is a beautiful upgrade to a large 6 bedroom home. The guest was called months in advance to let her know of the new bed configuration and was asked if this was going to be a problem. The skylight had a “potential” roof leak most likely from the most recent winter storm, which we notified the guest beforehand and that we were working to resolve before their arrival. We moved the bed to the side of the room to prevent any chances of possibly being inconvenienced. It appears that the real issue in the review is the additional charges for the excessive cleaning. Upon our inspection and cleaning teams arrival the home was an absolute disaster, and required hours of additional work. Decorations, trash, stickers on windows, complete refrigerator deep clean, and the list goes on and on. We have photographed and documented all items and only charged for the additional time to clean. It is extremely rare that there are additional cleaning fees, and are only warranted when necessary. I hope this clears any confusion regarding this review.

      Tahoe Rental Company took over management of my property in December 2020, and I could not be happier. Their responsiveness, attention to detail, and professionalism is top notch. And bookings have just about doubled from my previous management company. I highly recommend them for property management.

      We stayed at the Luxury Lodge in Tahoe City property and boy was it beautiful! We had a small issue and Katie resolved it for us as soon as she could and took great care of us. It took half of us about 16 hours and the other half 6 hours to get there due to weather... and the drive is generally only 3 hours. But when we walked in... the frustration was immediately gone. It was the perfect place to be snowed in at. It had everything we needed. Every day we stayed I found out something new about the home. The floors were heated and there were 3 shower heads in the master bath downstairs. The house had the quietest dishwasher I’ve ever experienced. Thank you Katie and your team for making that the most amazing experience in Tahoe ever!

      Tahoe Rental Company was awesome during my recent stay in the Tahoe City area. We spent Christmas in a cabin in the woods and skied Alpine and Squaw. The trip was easy and comfortable thanks to TRC. The cabin had everything we needed and was lovely. I will use TRC again soon! I suggest you avoid HomeAway/VRBO/Expedia who charge an exorbitant and undisclosed admin fee on top of all other fees for doing nothing more than providing an online booking site. Stick with TRC for your Tahoe rental needs!

      If I could give zero stars I would. Very unprofessional employees who were unwilling to do anything to address our complaints and there were many. This was an awful rental and rental company could have cared less about fixing issues. There were pee stains on mattress and mattress pad was stained. Carpets and sofa had huge stains. Tile on showers was filled with mildew and so much water damage behind them they were spongy to the touch. Allsurfaces need painted but we were told the owner does not want to put money into the home. Air vents were gross, house was full of carpenter ants. 90 degrees outside and only 2 box fans, we had to buy our own. Was told another fan would be delivered and it never was.. I contacted company with complaints and plenty of photos to no avail. Was basically told it was not a luxury rental, the price and cleaning fees sure felt luxury. Also I did not expect luxury but did expect clean based on pictures and reviews. Especially during COVID-19 I expected higher sanitary standards. Bedding as in the pads and quilts/ comforters, shams etc everything other than sheets should be washed monthly at least if not more and all should be replaced yearly in my opinion. I washed my sheets and quilt and youcould definitely see they were much cleaner after..I would never book with them again or recommend them.
