Samuel1The most dishonest bank in America. I can’t even begin to tell you how much time I wasted with these people. Hours and hours. The case was simple: I canceled payments, I was assured the payments were canceled, why were they continuing given I canceled them? Pretty straightforward, no? For hours and hours they moved me around to departments, no one could answer the question when they even addressed it. Most of the time they answered a fictitious question they made up in their mind. They lied repeatedly. Over and over again. They had “problems with their computers” at the most convenient times for them. They put me on hold until a few minutes after - just another coincidence - the other department where I could settle the dispute closed. I was just out of the hospital and saddled with debt and needed the illegitimate transactions returned to my checking account for basic necessities. They could do nothing: their computers weren’t working. F—-.

K1Don't get any credit card from Synchrony. You cannot access your account. Their website virtual help agent and the automated phone system are a joke. You cannot even reach a person. By far the worse customer service I've ever had. Many places offer a survey for you to give feedback on your experience, but not Synchrony -- they couldn't care less. Per the advice from another review: pay them off and allow the account to be dormant until they close it themselves.

Edgar Jimenez1I am highly recommending that everyone avoid this online bank which issues the Amazon Store Card. I was issued a credit card somehow even though my account had incorrect personal information entered, I could not register or access my account as a result. This card was automatically added as my primary payment on Amazon so my purchases were being charged, however was not allowed to access my account even to make payments. I've spoken to foreign reps all day who have argued with me and hung up the phone. The only solution offered was to fax in a copy of my social security card which I am unwilling to provide to a foreign call center.

Scott Haring1Do not use synchrony credit card services. My mother in law had some Synchrony Master Card accounts. She was having some difficulties managing her bills so we assisted. We started going through the synchrony statements. Customer service was very good in reversing some fraudulent charges amde out of the country. THe problems occurred with a misapplied payment and acrrued interest and late charges due to the payment being posted to the wrong account. We were told not to make payments until the new statement came out and the interest and late charges would be reversed. None of the erroneous charges were reversed. I would NEVER do busiess with this company. Find a company that does what they say they are going to do.

Adrienne Stark1I would never recommend anyone to ever get any credit card through this company. My husband and I recently just closed every single credit card through retailers and will never do business with them again. They run your credit without your consent or knowledge and then drop your limits. We had been loyal customers for years, making payments early every month, payments larger than the min payment required, and have even paid off credit cards multiple times and they drop our limits. Then they tell us it is because they ran our credit and we’re not impressed with our credit performance and both my husband and I have close to 700 credit scores. This company will punish you for being responsible. I will be reporting this company for running our credits without consent and our knowledge. This company will also try to scare you into keeping your card and telling you that if you close one you can no longer get another again. Don’t give this company your money! If I could give 0 stars I would.

Courtney Oxendine1Regarding High Yield saving account with Synchrony bank: absolute single worst customer service experience of my life. Would give negative stars if possible. Heed these reviews; this company is in no way worth giving your time and frustration to to handle your money, even considering the high interest rates they offer. Background: froze my savings account and told me to contact them. Upon contacting them, placed me on hold for the better part of an hour only to tell me they could NOT give me any information on WHY my account was frozen, OR for how long it would be frozen, OR what they were trying to verify. This is after they told ME to contact THEM. Avoid this company like a plague, they rightfully should not exist in the world of banking. I trust my mattress more with my money than I do with this unscrupulous and evasive company.

MarciMarcel Gooden1This bank will ruin your credit if you allow them to play with your credit lines. My advice is pay them off and allow the account to be dormant until they close it themselves. Otherwise if you treat it as a revolving account and make timely payments they adjust the available credit just to meet your usage making it seem as you don't manage your spending.

Daniel DiCenso3Their automated phone system is a joke. It takes way too long to get though to a person. It gets stuck in a loop if you don't have your account number handy... It's like the bank doesn't want to do their job and talk to their customers and make money or something...
