      After years of being a customer who has never missed a payment or asked for additional services I have recently been left feeling as if I am unimportant and disposable by STCU. A joint account that is shared was fraudulently charged. The bank manually took funds from my personal account (not associated with the joint account) which then over drew my credit card. After more than two weeks of time, the bank made continuous errors that drained my personal account and over drafted my CC. It took several phone calls and even a personal visit to a the main branch before the situation was resolved. I am appalled by the lack of attention the bank has displayed. I will be moving my accounts over to Banner Bank. A bank that I personally believe will take the care to manage my accounts properly and professionally. I would like to note that Sara was an absolute delight to work with and worked swiftly (after dealing with multiple representatives prior) to resolve my issue. Sara deserves a raise after dealing with me.

      My first dealing with STCU was obtaining financing for a new vehicle. The process was easy and I eventually got their credit card as well. I added my truck to my current insurance and several months later, while I was out of the county, my insurance had lapsed. Once I got back I renewed my policy and sent declarations to STCU and thought everything was taken care of. Today I received a notification that they have added $450 to my loan for insurance during that two week gap. That is more than half the cost of my 6 month policy! I just called and the lady told me there is nothing to be done, that's just the way they work. I have called several insurance companies and no one is able to give me a retroactive policy but somehow STCU is and they are charging me $450. I understand I allowed my insurance to lapse and I don't mind being charged a fair amount for it, but you have got to be kidding me! $450 for two weeks. Terrible customer service, I was not expecting this.

      So far the simple checking and savings accounts are pretty good, the online services and drive up atms are great, no fees so no complaints. You do have to transfer to checking from savings to withdrawal at the atms and theres limit to transfers before it charges, I don't tap into savings often so I haven't checked. Not everything is perfect, the human interaction is similar to Chase or wells fargox guess that happens eventually, I'm a very friendly person and maybe sometimes I catch the employees on bad days, but they still need to realize they are getting paid for customer service and the job is relatively easy to perform and they have a/c and aren't out in the sun for starters 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

      The Bank should never be short staffed on Fridays - it's the busiest day Nora branch and one off wellsley both are short staffed. Looks like some people need fired and more hired

      1 teller available line of 12 people. Tellers sitting and chatting with people like everyone has all day for 10 minute transactions and bs sessions. Spent my lunch getting a check cashed.

      I signed my mortgage refinance paperwork with Lori Hammond. She was really friendly, informative, and fast! I've been through the purchase and refinance process 6 times with multiple properties over the years, but this was my first time with STCU (and the fastest signing, coming in under 15 minutes!) Shout out to Aaron Marsh, the mortgage lender I worked with. You guys are awesome! I'm so glad to be part of the STCU family.

      Do not finance a vehicle through STCU, you will be hassled to death about your insurance. They finance the truck for me and it is been a nightmare. A year ago they sent me harassing letters about my insurance and I had to send it to him three times before it got resolved. Now a year later, same truck, same insurance nothing has changed, no claims of any sort but now I'm getting the harassing letters again. I have emailed them my insurance three more times, my office manager has emailed them twice, my federated insurance agent has had a conference call with him and send it to them also but for some reason nobody has any idea where it's at. Then they jacked my loan up by $5500 to say they were going to supply me with insurance when I already have insurance. Never thought I would see STU stoop so low to get money but after this is resolved and it will be resolved they will never do business with me again. Oh and did I forget to say I've been with the bank for over 20 years. Never again! Flint Rohrbaugh

      Amy Schanzenbach is an absolute rockstar to work with at STCU. I've had the pleasure of working with her multiple times and can't say enough good things. Not only is she great and what she does, she is extremely personal and made me feel like I'm not just a number at a bank but actually took interest in what I was doing. 5 STAR!!!
