State Employees Credit Union of New Mexico Reviews

Bernice Mcgovern2Employee state credit union is the worst bank to deal with I just closed my after 6 months I had two disbutes which these merchants took out my money and I couldn’t go to one concert because I was in hospital the other one turbo tax took out money and my Irs forums were rejected but they still took my money . could not resolve any of them they said they weren’t fraud . So anyways they want you to go through a whole process to dispute something I already tried with the company that’s why I went to the bank . So long story short I closed my account.
Response from the ownerHi Bernice, Thank you for the feedback! We understand how stressful disputing a charge can be and we do everything we can to make the process as simple and straightforward as possible. However we are only able to follow up on disputed charges when a Member provides sufficient information to us so that we may do so. This is for the protection of all our Members and the security of the Credit Union itself. We're sorry you chose not to continue your membership with State ECU but we wish you success and good health in your future. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with State ECU. We truly value hearing from our past or current Members about their experiences--both good and bad.

Alpha C3There is 1 assigned person to handle new accounts. If you call and leave a message, that person never calls you back. At least, that was my experience.I had to physically go in and was told by a female teller that that person was at lunch. She asked of I wanted to leave a message?I replied, no, as she does not return calls even after mulriplemessages. I spoke to the branch manager and she was very knowledgeable and polite. However, there was no real sense of urgency on the part of the staff there. Almost like, they are in slow motion in another time period.
Response from the ownerHi Alpha, thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We are glad to hear that the branch manager was able to help with your request and apologize that prior to your in-branch visit, we didn't live up to our goal to provide outstanding service on each and every interaction. We are currently working to improve our responsiveness so that we can provide a better experience for you and for all of our members. Thank you for your feedback and thank you for being a member!

D Fritz5Almost a 20yr Belén customer.... No one comes close in service, least amount time in loan processing including paperwork....technology of online banking I've used since its conception which is a time saver... I fully trust all my interactions here, and you will too....

Abel Romero5SECUNM really values its members, minimizing fees and always being helpful and friendly. I can also feel better banking here rather than a national bank with questionable practices and ethics. Love my credit union!

Mr Bro1Bad customer service; Tammy Sue is very rude and should not be on the frontlines with customers. It's sad to see my credit union going in this direction; maybe it's just this location and the quality of workers it can only get. Switching financial institutions will be in the near future.

Kirsten Smith5Kind and personal service. The tellers always remember me, and are helpful when I am out of town and have to do business over the phone. They pay interest on deposits, too! How can you beat that?
Response from the ownerHi Kirsten, thank you for the positive review! We hope that you continue to be satisfied with your experience at State ECU. Thank you for being a member!

Donna Chambers1This has to be the slowest tellers on the face of the planet. Don't come to this branch if you don't have at least 10-15 minutes to make a deposit. I have waited as long as 20 minutes for one transaction, when I FINIALLY told them to just mail me my receipt.

Gerald Cordova2Very dissatisfied with service at the Los lunas office
