Mark Montoya5My wife and I have gotten several loans from SECU. The terms and rates are great. Most of all, we always receive exceptional service. Maritza Dominguez is our loan officer and she is great. She is very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you Maritza, you are awesome!
Response from the ownerThank you for your positive review Mark, and thank you for being a member!

Marcus Madrid5What more can I say Susan Baldonado at State Employees CU, went above and beyond helping my small family in not only obtaining financing for a larger vehicle, but also She provided amazing advice when it came to negotiating with the dealer. The visit was an absolute pleasure, we were treated as true members not just another number. If you are ever in need, you have to see Susan!
Response from the ownerThank you for the 5-star review Marcus! We are so happy to hear that we were able to make your experience a positive one! Thank you for helping us spread the word about our local, personal service for New Mexico, and thank you for being a member!

Dan Koleski5I have had years of experience with this credit union from Las Vegas to Santa Fe to Rio Rancho. I have had some bad business experiences with banks and their lack of personal support. Every branch with this credit union has been especially helpful....on a personal basis. Since I have been in Rio Rancho I have been dealing with Maritza Dominquez for many years. She has been so creative and helpful. I go in thinking I have things figured out on how to approach a financial issue and she turns everything upside down and things come out so much better. It is because I know she listens and has come to know me personally. I am very appreciative for such support.
Response from the ownerHi Dan, thank you so much for the glowing review! We strive to provide personal service to each and every member, so it's very satisfying to hear when we have achieved that goal. Thank you for your kind words, and as always, thank you for being a member with us!

Mr. Sand5Enchanted hills location is great, they are always friendly and helpful. I have discussed loan options on more than one occasion and they were always straightforward and more than accommodating. The bank has a notary public which is a nice bonus if you need one. Online banking has slowly gotten better but overall is not bad. This bank is a WAY better option than Wells Fargo or Bank of America. *I read other reviews about "illegally reporting to credit bureau's" which sounds like a personal problem that has now "become" the banks "responsibility." Which really isn't fair to the bank because it's not illegal and second, the bank didn't make you miss a payment*
Response from the ownerHi Mr. Sand, thank you for your positive review! We are continuously improving our online banking and mobile banking and hope that it continues to get better. Again, thank you for your feedback and thank you for visiting State ECU!

Leonora Benavidez1Charges fees constantly for everything and when you call customer service is extremely rude. Im switching banks I'm over it already. They won't help the member with loans or lines of credit but will take your money in a heartbeat.
Response from the ownerHi Leonora, thank you for the feedback. We are always looking for ways to provide friendly and effective member service whether it's in a branch or on the phone. Rudeness is never acceptable to us, and we take your concern very seriously. Can you tell us a bit more about your experience to help us identify how we can improve? Part of our commitment to our communities is to keep fees lower than you'll find at most other institutions. That's one advantage to having a credit union instead of a bank. It's important to us to help members understand which account options are best for them and help you build the financial future you want. We would be happy to go over any aspects of your account or your specific situation with you in more detail if you would like.

Trinie Saiz2Limited bank hours makes it hard to get your business taken care of. I wish they were open on Sat. For half a day like other banks. From my experience It seems like the reps who have tried to help me have minimal experience. It took them 15 min to print me off a pay off statement on a loan I have with them. The statement was basicly worthless because no where on the statement did it mention their bank name. Therefore the other bank did not accept it as proof of payoff and I basicly wasted my time.
Response from the ownerHi Trinie, We are so sorry to hear about your difficulty and we certainly understand how important it is to get your business taken care of quickly and easily. To help save our members time, we have an online meeting scheduler so we can match you with the right representative for phone or in-person service at a time that works for you. We encourage you to give it a try and let us know what you think. Just fill out the form here https://www.secunm.org/contact/contact-us/schedule-a-meeting.html to schedule a meeting. We look forward to hearing from you, and we hope this option helps to get you in and out and on your way!

Nichole Grant1Local branch customer service is great however I had an issue with being able to log in online AND the secunm app for over a year and NOBODY wanted to help. All they could day is " I'll be happy to reset your password" even the manager in Santa Fe. Save yourself the frustration. Go somewhere else.
Response from the ownerHi Nichole, in the past few years we have made signifiant updates to our online and mobile banking systems. If you are still a member, can you tell us if your login experience has improved? Thank you for your feedback and for helping us better serve our communities here in New Mexico.

Haleigh Madrid1this is the WORST credit union ever, everyone here is so rude and never willing to help out or answer questions, they took over 2 months to set up my pin number and refused to help me reset it after calling and going in for the past month, don’t waste your time here theyre a joke.
Response from the ownerHi Haleigh, we're sorry to hear you have not been happy with our service. We certainly understand how important it is to get your PIN set up quickly so you can have access to all the features of your State ECU account. Are you still in need of assistance with your PIN or has the matter since been resolved? Is there anything else we can do to help you with your account today?
