      3/31/2022 I had some issues that i needed help with today and i spoke with Icha at the Taylors S.C. Branch and she went over and beyond to help me. WOW... What a blessing she was to me . Icha never got aggravated with me. Icha took her time and walked me through the website explaining everything to me. She never got impatient with me. Icha was very polite, very courteous . She went over and beyond to help me. She also called me back to explain something else on my account. AGAIN ... WOW... Icha certainly needs to be recognized and given some type of recognition for doing an out standing job for Spero Financial

      As an independent auto dealer and a personal member, I can't recommend this Credit Union any higher. They get the job done. Very professional. 5 stars! Definitely recommend.

      Been a member for 4 years 2 auto loans and Credit card. All accounts were in good standing, I called for a credit increase. I would not recommend if you are trying to build credit with them. I have another card with another bank, shorter length of time and was offered an increase within the first year. THEY DO NOT TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION GOOD STANDING RAPPORT!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO BUILD CREDIT. Update: this is for SC Telco, Spero Financial, formerly SC Telco Federal Credit Union. After posting the review they closed the card I had with them and tried to say it was due to other reason when I was on time for a few years. Smh Talk about retaliation.

      Went to make a deposit at the Taylor's branch. Only two cars in line and I had to sit there for over 25 minutes just to make a deposit! I have visited Woodruff Road branch it has probably 10 times as much business and I have never had to wait as long as I had to wait in Taylors! No excuse for that! I have been a member for more than 25 years do with the new people, new attitude and lack of caring, I believe we may be taking our business elsewhere......oh, by the way, after pulling off, I looked at my cash back and was shorted $40!!!!! Who is running this branch?!

      Tried to deposit an insurance check and was refused because it was made out to me and another person who had signed the check. Bank wanted to add this person to my account in order to deposit the check. I have been a customer since it was NP Credit Union in the News Piedmont building. Spero is going to lose a faithful member.

      Changed my free personal checking account into a paid checking account with very little notice. Didn't maintain the free account option for existing customers, and having a significant balance in my business checking account wouldn't contribute to the the minimum balance requirement for my personal account. Seems like things are going downhill after the merger/name change. Edit: The above was after talking to a staff member about potential alternate options for a free account. The staff member was unable to provide any options comparable to my free account. They weren't willing to work with me to provide additional options due to being an existing customer or having a business account.

      Copy of email sent to Spero Financial: You have been cashing a check made out to my husband, who isn't on my account for YEARS. Now you suddenly refuse to do it. And you "claim" that it's ALWAYS been policy. That is a LIE. There are other posts here saying the same thing. Customer service has declined since the name change, which makes me wonder if there's more going on. Considering moving my accounts which is proving to be hard because they have very good accounts. Also, the lack of Apple/Samsung/Google Pay with absolutely NO interest in adding it, even with those payments becoming more popular is frustrating.

      The staff is making the best of a bad situation having to conduct business thru the drive thru. They are professionals and while I appreciate their work ethic, I don't like doing my banking business this way. Not their fault. I miss the good old days when I could see someone's SMILING face! 😢

      Apparently if you don’t use your account they put your accounts in the negative. I will never use this bank again. It owes me 25 dollars. 20 in savings and I believe 10 or 20 in checking. Absolutely robbing me and I will be contacting the better business and filling a complaint.

      I have seen first hand how they treat their employees. It’s shameful and not entirely ethical. Huge employee turnover. If they treat their employees poorly, why would they treat their customers any better? They terribly mishandled their Covid situations in Taylors, Five Forks and Spartanburg. I am taking my family and accounts elsewhere.
