  Great shop! Decent selection of jewelry with incredible prices. The staff was remarkably friendly and helpful. I walked out with a necklace and a ring and was given a great combo discount. Even with the high gold price, these guys were still able to get me a fair price. Anyone in the area should definitely come take a look!

  We don't remember this transaction, but as sellers of secondhand goods, we know there are occasional issues. That's why we have no problem if our customers want to test items out before they buy.

  If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The young guy has a nasty attitude. He is very obnoxious and rude. I said hello nothing I said thank you nothing. I was inquiring about selling an item. I will never ever go there again. So whoever is reading this go to the pawn shop on Baltimore Street they will take care of you. Response by owner: This review is confusing. Is it possible we didn't respond to a question because of not hearing you through a mask? We're sorry if you had a bad experience, but find the mention of a competitor in your review to be unusual. You could hear me very clearly through the mask. Like I said the young gentlemen was very rude and obnoxious. And I am quite sure this is not the first time. In regards to mentioning your competitor he was accommodating you were not. Do not try to give a excuse for your behavior. Here is a suggestion give a customer respect and an experience rather then PR for your reviews. If you do those things I recommended above then you would not have to respond to every review. The reviews would speak for themselves.

  I've been to this shop Multiple occasions and never have been let down. Staff are friendly and informed about what they sell. I've pawned and purchased multiple items from video games and televisions to rings. Highly recommended and local to a lot of areas

  I recently wrote a review about this place and I'm taken a guess they deleted it... I would give this place a 0 star review if I was able too. The old man here and the younger man are both disrespectful and rip people off I don't recommend this place at all they don't value their customers at all. Go somewhere else don't buy or sell anything to these a holes

  The staff was super helpful and very understanding of my needs. I went in looking for some unique jewelery and they helped me find something of suitable quality in my price range. If you want to be treated like a respectable human being in this world, I find a little effort goes a long way. It's easy to bypass human interaction and just use the internet but I prefer to deal with good people in person, and South Harbor Loan does not disappoint! The staff is also very knowledgeable when it comes to gaming systems, jewelry musical instruments etc. They will give you realistic offers on your pawn and fair prices on your purchase

  If The old man working there was the least bit nice, I wouldnt be writing this review. Asked how much I was looking to get for my items then basically belittled me because it was less than he was willing to pay. Do yourself a favor and stay away. You will be lowballed and you may not even be treated with respect.

  This is a really great place to shop.I walk in and was greeted very friendly and quickly by the staff looking for a rare find that I been searching for all day. I ask the staff member do you think you have a Xbox 360 slim power cord. The staff member said yes sir I think I have one and walk to the back, it took him no time to return with the power cord.The happiness I felt once my search was over then he said it will be $8 but for $15 I will throw in a 360 Kinect. I responded with yes and thank you and paid for it.Then he told me here’s a gift for the holidays. I walk out with more then what I bargain for three items for $15 then the staff said Merry Christmas I walk out 😁 like my son is going to have a very Merry Christmas,thanks to the staff at South Harbor Pawn Shop. Now when I’m in the hunt for a good price and rare find my first stop will be south harbor pawn shop, thanks guys and keep up the good work.
