  Like everyone, when i read reviews, I don't know if they are to be trusted or not. As such, this is not a "review" but merely my experience with Nona and her team. I will just share my story. When I was compelled to look for a new CPA 3 years ago, I was given Nona's name and set up a phone interview with her and her staff. Like most people, during that search, there was a lot of anxiety going on, since trusting someone into your accounting, and starting from scratch is a hard step. Your accountant is like your money therapist. They are the most important backbone of your business and personal, but we all don't like to hear criticism about decisions we made. After all, I need an accountant not a parent. I had no idea I would find a very responsive, non judgmental, solution-finding, advisor and team. It has been an incredible journey and I would do it again. I am now very comfortable with Nona and her team. It is the kind of conscientiousness and meticulousness that one expects from their accountant. They nudge with respect, and fight for you better than you would because they are knowledgeable. At times, they would give you tough love. In the end, I have a better idea about my financial health, and have already saved hard earned money due to many mistakes I would have made in the convoluted tax process. If you are currently in the same state I was, searching, confused, untrusting, and wondering what is the next step, give Nona and her team a call. It's a personalized atmosphere you will find. Never put down. Never discriminated against. I promise I never regretted it. If they can't do it right away, they tell you when they would, and in the words of Nona "We will make it happen".

  Since opening my business in 2012, Nona and her team have been a tremendous asset. With their experience and expertise, I’ve been able to eliminate the busy work involved with accounting, P&L’s, taxes, and other tasks that do not allow me to drive the sales needed to grow a business. Having Nona and her team is like having a full time CFO at a fraction of the price of hiring an employee to handle your accounting needs. I have referred many peers to Nona and team and will continue to do so. In addition to their professional demeanor, Nona and her team always take the time to get to know you as a client, and more importantly as a friend. They are not afraid to give you advice that will benefit you so you can plan your tax year accordingly. There is not another firm I would trust my accounting and finance needs with, they are simply the best.

  Since I made the move from my former CPA years ago to Solowitz and Associates Certified Public Accountants, I have enjoyed stress free tax and accounting services, including QuickBooks support. Everyone I’ve worked with at the firm has been professional, courteous, detail oriented, responsive and truly great to work with. I feel valued as a client and cared about as a human being — qualities in short supply these days!

  BEWARE OF THIS CPA FIRM: Our experience with this CPA firm was highly disappointing and unfortunately filled with disappointment and sadly racial profiling. I’ve never experienced such degrading conversations by phone leading to Michael Yeh yelling and screaming at our staff. This behavior appeared to be supported by the owners and partners of Solowitz and YEH CPA firm. I can’t imagine this firm would be in business if inclusively, all their clients were treated in this manner, which leads me to believe the inequity and lack of diversity in their business practices is a part of the core purpose and belief. After we advised Nona Solowitz of our intent to disengage from their firm due to unprofessional behavior and abusive actions we received an excessive and grossly embellished billing statement. This statement included billing for phone calls and detailed forensic accounting on our SBA loan which we never requested or approved. After, we disputed this fraudulent billing our account was immediately sent to collections. This truly surprised us especially in a COVID-19 Relief environment. We’ve launched a compliant with the California Board of Accountancy Board in an effort to help protect all individuals and including minority owned companies and individuals.
