Rhonda Brooks1I have been a member of this credit Union for 20 plus years. I can count the number of times in those years I have requested a stop payment or had a overdraft on one hand, if that. I requested a stop payment and was charged $30! There was no offer to waive the fee for this one time or anything! This is ridiculous! I understand the credit Union has to make money, but loyalty doesn’t count for anything! I will be moving my accounts to Navy Federal Credit Union where the customer matters as soon as my loans are satisfied! I was also given incorrect information on the phone in regards to the stop payment process and had to come into the office! I can not believe after all these years this is the level of service I am receiving!

Victoria Winkler5I came here after having a bad experience at shell federal credit union. I stayed there literally 3 HOURS at smart financial because Channing and Eustacia were determined to get my process done as much as possible for the day. They were super friendly, did not make the experience stressful and serious like some banks, and were apparent that they know what they’re doing. Smart financial has me for life. ☺️

Charis Velasco1I was emailing with an associate and let them know I was displeased with a situation regarding the bank and he just stopped replying to me. Didn’t want to hear me out or anything just ignored all of my emails. These are my finances, my livelihood and he couldn’t even be bothered to reply to my emails. I’ve been banking with this bank for 10 years and honestly I am probably going to switch to a new bank. They wait and push the largest purchases so they all fall on the same day and withheld one of my paychecks to make sure my account would go negative. Not only did they do that, but they bounced several of my bills AND charged me overdraft fees, so they’re rejecting my bills so that way I don’t overdraft yet they still charged me an overdraft fee. Might I remind everyone that they held off on allowing my paycheck to go through that would have fully covered my bills. Overall smart financial is just like any other bank and I might as well switch to a regular bank with better benefits.

Cheryl Pilgrim5Torie was extremely helpful and patient as I dealt with a lost check and credit card. The employees at The Woodlands branch are always nice and there’s never a wait. Forget the big banks where you’re just a number. This credit union is truly there for their customers.
