  Dave was a huge help during our recent home buying experience. He was recommended by a friend, and within 15 minutes of sending an exploratory email to him, Dave had reached back out asking if I wanted to set up a call based on my availability. From that first discussion to the closing, Dave was professional, attentive, and timely in his communication of what needed to be done ASAP, what was going to need to be done by X date, and so on. His understanding of the process and, more importantly, his ability to communicate the timeline and what each step meant for us was most appreciated.   David has helped my wife and I through the mortgage process twice in the last 3 years. The first time David helped us was with a traditional mortgage during our first home buying process. Most recently David helped us refinance our home using a home renovation loan. Both of my encounters with David and SWBC mortgage have been outstanding. He had us closing on our VA loan within 29 days which is almost unheard of these days. He responded to any and all questions and comments immediately either calling, text, or email.   Dave was an absolute lifesaver during our recent home buying experience. The mortgage for our previous house was through one of the major national banks, and we got the level of customer service from them you would expect - long wait times on the phone, never knowing where the person we were talking to was located, and a labyrinthine application process. In contrast, my first conversation with Dave was on a Saturday morning, and by Sunday afternoon our application process was well underway (I'd never be able to get support on a weekend from our previous lender!). And the online application process Dave provided us was incredibly straightforward and user-friendly (the interface guided us through a series of common sense questions). If you're looking for a lender in the Houston area, Dave Richards is a straight shooter, he knows the local market, and he genuinely looks out for your best interests.

  David Richards and his team at SWBC Mortgage have done an OUTSTANDING job throughout the mortgage application / approval / closing process! Dave was available to answer our questions day and night. He worked closely with our realtor during the Christmas holidays to keep us moving forward in the process and making our dream home a reality.
