  Great Experience every time I go to branch. I am greeted every time I walk in and I know that I will be taken care of to the best of their ability. The entire staff is very friendly. The intern program at Smart Financial is top notch and the students are always professional and courteous. The parking is unusual, but the convenient location inner city far outweighs any parking situation there. Highly recommend visiting this amazing branch for anything you may need. Keep up the great work Lamar Branch! :)

  Katy Vargas was a tremendous help to me today! I have been to the credit union on 610 West and the one on 1960, asking for help, but they were always too busy to help me, and told me that I had to go to Chase Bank to get the help that I needed! Katy Vargas helped me make a deposit, apply for a ATM card, and showed me how to move money from my Chase savings account to my credit union account—all the things that I’ve been asking the other credit union to help me learn how to do! Katy was ver patient, calm, and informative. I am forever indebted to her and will always be appreciative of her assistance. Katy needs to be recognized as an outstanding employee.

  I love the Smart Financial Lamar branch! The employees extremely friendly and make you feel very welcome from the moment you enter the door. I also love that they have an internship program with the students from Lamar High School. It’s always refreshing to see our youth working their way to a path of success! It’s awesome that Smart Financial offers this program. Bravo to you!

  I joined Smart Financial during my freshmen year of high school and I have always loved how convenient this location is. Although I am friends with one of the tellers, Ariana, she never strays away from her professionalism. She is always pleasant and eager to help!

  I have the opportunity of visiting this location of SFU at Lamar HS and it is by far an amazing experience. For starters, the company employees students from the school as Interns. The students are absolutely wonderful and provide outstanding customer service. I support this program and partnership with HISD. Gabe provided great service as Ariana coached him as he transitions in his new role as an intern. Great work!

  Major appreciation of and gratitude to Katy Vargas of SMFC for her recent help, patience, kindness, assistance when I was experiencing worry, fear, major anxiety about my financial circumstances. I know this is such a fearful, anxious time financially speaking for so many of us trying to make it on limited income. It's also embarrassing, but her patience, understanding, and assistance made it easier. 5-Stars to a 5-Star Credit Union representative.

  My friend had all her jewelry worth 10s of 1000s stacked away in this bank locker. The locker next to theirs was jammed and bank had to drill it to recover the contents. But the bank drilled my friends locker. They called 2 days back to pick the new keys of the locker. My friend was surprised and she and her husband went to check. All her gold jewelry is gone. Bank is not revealing details as to when the locker was drilled. the manager said the old staff is not there anymore. Looks like They drilled the locker several months ago as the employee left in April 2021. They told us about the broken locked only on September 8 2021.

  Our management has been made aware of this concern at another branch. We do not have safe deposit boxes at our Lamar branch.
