  Stopped by a couple of weeks ago and spoke w/ Jim about possibly being a house owner for the first time. He was very informative and glad to take me in even though he generally does appointment only. I like the fact that everything is kept "in-house" so you don't have to worry about having to deal with different companies but only Jim and Fairway. If you're looking to get some knowledge on first-time buying, I suggest stopping by and talking to Jim. Although I would suggest calling in and setting up an appointment first :P

  This is our second finance experience with Fairway Mortgage Corporation. Our first time to use Fairway Mortgage was about eight years ago, and our experience was exceptional at that time, so we knew we would be contacting Fairway for any future home financing. We closed on a house in San Antonio in December. Once again, Fairway Mortgage met or exceeded our expectations. The transaction was seamless in every way. The title officer was impressed and remarked that she would like all closing to go so smoothly. We give the credit to Mr. Ward. His communication (electronically and phone calls) was always prompt while guiding us through the process from start to finish. We will and have referred family and friends to Mr. Ward.

  We had reached out to 3 other mortgage brokers including our bank but were given a minimal amount of attention. We called and made an appointment to meet with James Ward and Maya. They were professional, straightforward, and extremely thorough. They answered all our questions and communicated with us every step of the way. We started the application process on July 10th, received our VA letter of approval for our new home, and closed on our refinance on August 3rd. James even referred us to a great realtor. We highly recommend Fairway Mortgage and we will definitely use them again.

  James and his team (Maya) were phenomenal. They definitely went above and beyond for us and exceeded our expectations. My wife and I were first time homebuyers and we had our doubts about finding a good lender that could answer all of our questions and be patient. James was on top of things and would take my calls at any time of the day and answer any questions we had. James processed our loan application without me ever stepping into his office -- it was all done remotely and it was done very well. They provided a break down and explanation of the total cost, provided good faith estimates on time, and best of all were able to clear us for closing about 2 weeks in advance (it was amazing!). I highly recommend Fairway Independent Mortgage, James and Maya to anyone looking to purchase a home!

After experiencing a most difficult situation during the process he spoke words of faith which strengthen and enabled me to stand firm and know that all would be well.   Mortgage Lender James Ward and his assistant Maya Glickler are the best of the best that the Houston area has to offer. Mr. Ward and Maya are extremely helpful in every step of the way. This was our first time buying a house and we went through a handful of lenders trying to select the right one. We wanted someone who was honest, sincere, knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and had great rates. Mr. Ward met all of those expectations and surpassed them! I can honestly say that I knew pretty much next to nothing in buying a house before the process, now I feel like I'm a near expert. Not kidding. All thanks to James and Maya. They were super patient and they responded in lightning speed. For all that Fairway Independent Mortgage has done for me and my family, they have my utmost, highest recommendation.   My refinance experience was much less stressful because of James. He thoroughly explained the process and what was needed. He was always available to answer questions and promptly returned calls. His level of customer service exceeded my expectations and that of banks that I had initially asked about refinancing with before finding that their review could take months and also seeing horror stories online about the banks losing information, repeating requests, and delaying closing. My closing with Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation was convenient, easy, and painless. I am very satisfied and will eagerly refer anyone wanting to refinance to James.

  Mr. James Ward is the BEST! I originally went with my bank for the home loan, and they completely dropped the ball, and put my closing date (and my closing contract with the sellers) in jeopardy. James totally saved the day and was able to make sure I'd be able to close on the agreed date. I consider myself extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to work with James and to be his customer. Again, he's the BEST!
