I am very satisfied with Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing. Not only that they were patient with me. Any other bank I would have lost my home and my family and I would not know where to go. Thank you Shellpoint.

Lost my escrow funds. They said Wired to county to pay my taxes. 5 months later their payment processor core logic still trying to find it. I had to pay my tax bill out of pocket. Worst company in terms of service. No retuned emails or phone calls. Please stay away from them.

My Mtg with Chase was taken over by Shellpoint a couple of years ago, when I was going thru a very difficult time. I immediately fell behind; however, rather than lowering the hammer on me, they extended an arm and suggestions on how to work my way out of this situation and get back on track. They set me up with a temporary program, which I was able to maintain and am now current and back in good graces. My primary Shellpoint contact was a gentleman named David Hannah, who was fantastic to work with. He was empathetic to my situation, very professional and offered suggestions to assist me, rather than indignation toward me. Mr Hannah is a tremendous asset to Southpoint and should be commended for his dedicated service toward his clients.

Very frustrating! First they sent letters with a wrong address for payment. They wont say how long before they can correct their error. No one gives the same answer. They really dont how to do their jobs. They pass off to another person, they then give you a phone to leave a message, they never return calls. I will file a complaint regarding this company. I am attempting to get a pay off letter from them to refinance. They wont co operate with me or my lender. I called three times in one day to get three different answers. It's really too bad. No one deserves to be treated like this. After all we are trying to pay them!

The customer support staff are friendly and helpful and patient. And that is where the positives end. I recently purchased my home and Shellpoint was assigned to handle my mortgage. Here are some of the issues, this company seems to have with BASIC customer service. 1. Their website has NO way for the user to confirm that they have previously scheduled a payment. While trying to figure out how to setup bi-weekly payments online (you can't) I somehow authorized two simultaneous monthly recurring payments. This would later come back to bite me. 2. I called in to setup bi-weekly payments, and the customer support representative sent me the appropriate forms. At no time did SHE mention that I had already set up two recurring payments to come out the same date. 3. I sent back the appropriate forms and received NO feedback that my fax had been received. 4. I called back later to confirm that they received the forms and was told that they had not received the forms and that I would have to make my August payment manually (again no mention from THAT employee that I had two payments already scheduled. 5. On July 31, I made my payment on their website. 6. On August 1, I checked back and now they were taking out 3 PAYMENTS. I had to stop payments on two of the payments and incur the stop payment charge. 7. I asked why I had not received any emails regarding confirmation of my payment scheduling and they said they weren't authorized to send me emails. I yet have to receive any emails from them, not even the confirmation email authorizing them to email me. Funny, spammers don't need permission, but my mortgage company does. The adventure is ongoing. I now have to call back to make sure that the biweekly payments will start in September. I may go back to my credit union to refinance just to get out of this company. Their infrastructure is awful, the website is useless, and you have to be on them all the time, and this was my FIRST payment. I thought Countrywide was bad, but these guys make Countrywide look positively proactive.

I have always had a pleasant experience with Shellpoint even with the mixup with my escrow balance. They figured out what the problem was and fixed it. The reps provide quick solutions and are courteous.

This has been the WORST! A 60 day process to get released from a lean has turned in to 6 months. Never a call to explain or update. Every deadline crossed by weeks and months. This mishandling of a legal matter has completely wrecked our building dreams.

I wish I could remember her name but the second to last person I spoke with was absolutely awesome. So was the last person I spoke with. I really appreciate the assistance I got during this awful time. The empathy was much needed and invaluable.

My loan was purchased by Shellpoint awhile back and I have no complaints. They are more transparent with my loan information and everything has been a breeze.

Someone please tell me how to escape this mortgage company's nightmare. Mortgage sold to them and they have done nothing but threaten to foreclose and take money they haven't been authorized to take. They keep saying we owe, owe owe but we weren't behind to begin with. They won't provide receipts to show the money they've taken and why they've taken it. They claim I owe as much as I did when I first bought the house 13 years ago. I need info as to who can help resolve this mess.
