      They’ve put me into overdraft 6 times now even though each time I’ve asked them to turn off overdraft protection. I’d highly recommend going to another bank.

      They have been a headache since they bought out Crescent Credit Union. If it wasn't due to laziness my mortgage would be with another bank immediately.

      We ended up with SCU when they bought out Crescent credit union. Terrible bank. Half the time you wait on hold they eventually just hang up. I miss CCU.

      The Sharon Credit Union in Sharon is great. The associates are very knowledgeable and helpful. They offer a free checking account and a savings account that only need a $5 balance. The banking app and online banking also work well. There are 3 drive up teller lanes, 1 drive up ATM and 1 ATM inside the vestibule. As I said, the Sharon branch is great. What is NOT great, is the customer service from the Sharon Crescent Credit Union Headquarters. I tried to speak with someone and had to repeatedly call (45 min) just to reach a person and not go to voice mail. I asked for my account to be able to use Samsung & Google Pay on my phone (linked to my card). The associate had ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE how to do this. He then told me that he would have to call me back (after I spent 45min calling them). When he called me back, he didn't even remember why he was calling me and had to ask what I wanted. After telling him AGAIN, he still couldn't help me and told me he would have to call me back AGAIN. WHICH HE NEVER DID. I drove to the drive thru in Sharon and the associate there helped me in less than 2 minutes. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 5 stars is because of the Sharon Crescent Credit Union Headquarters Customer Service. They deserve NEGATIVE 5 STARS

      This is regarding customer service HQ - if I could give negative stars, I would. I have a car loan that I paid through Crescent Credit Union before the merge. Ever since the merge, I've been living a nightmare just trying to pay my auto loan. Over the course of the past week I have called customer service numerous times. I can no longer count the # of times I have been hung up on. I left all of my info expecting a call back that never came. I was simply trying to get to my online banking. Finally this morning someone helped me - it took 10 minutes. Only to realize after we hung up that they don't let you pay your loans with an external debit card like Crescent Credit Union did. Nope. That savings account with $5.00 in it is how you are expected to pay your loans now. I now have 2 days until my loan is due, and setting up a bank transfer externally takes 2 - 3 days. Oh, and it's a holiday weekend. Thought EXTREMELY annoying that this is now I have to pay my loan online, if the help I had received this morning had just been available to me a week ago, this wouldn't be an issue. I have never been more frustrated with a bank in my life, I miss my Crescent Credit Union in Brockton. I about have a mind to take a chunk out of my savings and pay off my whole loan so I never have to even utter the name Sharon Credit Union again. Even now I was just calling to see if a branch was open - got the classic call menu. Thought I'd just try and pay over the phone at this point - I've just been sat on hold for 20 minutes, only to be forced to leave a voicemail that, as this previous week would suggest, will go unanswered. The lack of communication and service is deplorable.

      WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Have a mortgage from them, they have never reached out for a refinance even though rates are way lower than when the original mortgage was done. Never offered to have payments suspended even during the pandemic when the deferral program was active. I was laid off and the only thing they care about is money. Only after reaching out because I was refinancing with another bank did they mention the deferral program!! THEY PREY ON THE WEAK AND DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. Only helpful person is Barbara Mantalos

      Very interesting to see how the average rating has gone from five stars to one since the merger. I had previously had an account with them, enjoyed the experience and decided to go forward with a car loan this summer. It has been, to borrow a word from another reviewer, an absolute nightmare. Hold times exceeding an hour, only to then be put into a voicemail which they do not respond to. Complete lack of explanation in providing to their customers what it is they are expected to do with titles, etc. Staff inside the Sharon branch is great, but again unfortunately this operation has gone down the toilet in terms of the HQ and customer service. Based on my recent experience, I would absolutely ask you to think twice before proceeding with an auto, home or other type of loan which may require any type of customer service.

      I have had only good experiences with the Sharon Credit Union. During the pandemic, I was able to make an appointment to see my safe deposit box, and the manager fixed another issue while I was there.

      Sharon Credit union Branch in Sharon MA is fine to deal with, however the customer service is not... I, Like many others have been put on hold for over 45mins.. left messages no response. Been a member for a long time... Not happy with the customer service since they merged together. Will have to look into other options for banking needs soon if this continues to be a problem.

      I grew up with that little blue book from Sharon Credit Union, and I've continued to bank with them into my adulthood. I've had nothing but amazing service, and I appreciate all they do for their clients. A special shoutout to branch manager, Mark Heikkila, who went above and beyond to help us with funding our new home. If you want a bank who actually cares about its customers, then look no further than Sharon Credit Union.
