  Shane Cook and his team are excellent! From the initial communication to finalizing the loan, they stay in touch, communicate needs, and provide great customer assistance. We have used Shane the last two purchases and really appreciate his friendly service. Even during this tough market, we were prepared to deal with the bidding game because of the work Shane put in from the start! Thanks for such a great and easy process Shane…if we buy another home (don’t think so, but never say never) you will be the one we call!

  My wife and I had an amazing experience with Shane and his team. We had very difficult and lengthy loan application, but we never felt overwhelmed because Shane and his team were there every step of the way! We mostly worked with Shane, Heidi, and Amelia, but I am sure that everyone else on the team worked really hard to get everything done. Every single time we had a question there was someone to answer it, which was so important for us! I would absolutely recommend Shane and his team to everyone I know!

  After several failed attempts at getting responses from large lenders, I searched on-line for a well rated, local to OBx lender. I reached out to Shane and got an immediate response. Shortly afterwards, we had an introductory meeting which lasted way longer than I anticipated. The background and information provided by Shane was invaluable. Shane’s responsiveness and attention to detail never waned once a home was identified. In addition, Shane has a very organized process that describes all key milestones and every member of his team are equally amazing. I would consider using Shane and his team again and I highly recommend.

  Shane and his team made the lending portion of buying a home as simple as possible from start to finish. Shane was easy to get in contact with, and was able to provide me a pre-approval around 2 hours after our first conversation. His team was efficient and understanding to my needs.   Our refinance with Shane Cook was ridiculously easy. We never left the house and he did all the behind-the-scenes magic and communicated daily with us as we went through the process. His team is also friendly and helpful. I highly recommend him. I wasn’t sure anyone could top the service we got on the original mortgage with the NCSECU. Shane and group DID!

  We worked with Shane Cook and his team to obtain a mortgage for a new home purchase. Shane’s knowledge was extensive and literally had an answer for all our questions and scenarios. When we were faced with a delay, Shane worked with us to extend our rate lock without imposing any additional fees. Shane’s team was responsive and helpful.   Shane and his team have been absolutely great during the mortgage process. Very professional and always responsive to any questions I had. Everything was done online and over the phone. I could have not asked for an easier process. I would not recommend anyone but Shane at Guaranteed Rate.

  Shane and the Guaranteed Rate team are amazing! Originally I had a 4.375% home loan; and ultimately refinanced my home @ 2.75%. My original lender quoted refinancing @ 3.125%. MEANING my monthly mortgage was significantly less, resulting in a monthly savings of $233 per month! What really sets Shane and his team apart is doing what’s in the clients’ best interest. My original mortgage co. approached me two (2) years ago about refinancing my home/mortgage @ 3.75% I forwarded the information to Shane and asked his advice whether or not I should refinance. He said NO; he didn’t think the rate was low enough to be worth my while and the expense of refinancing. He turned down business because it wasn’t in his client’s (MY) best interest. That says A LOT about a company!!

  I was given Shane Cooks name to check on getting a mortgage loan for a beach house in Nags Head NC and I am so glad that I took the time to reach out to Shane Cook. From the moment we talked he gave me the confidence that he was going to do a great job for us. First of all I had unique situations that he was going to have to overcome and instead of passing us off to another company, he jumped right in and tackled the job and overcame every obstacle with speed and efficiency. I was amazed at how efficient that he was. He has a great team working with him and I am sure that they are the best team out there. The loan was processed and closed by the closing date stated even though it was an ambitious closing date. Shane Cook would take my call whenever I had a question. Great company and great team.
