  The worst bank I have ever let handle my money. My card expired before they sent me a new one . Getting a new one took well over 2 weeks. Communication is TERIIBLE. You can never speak to anyone directly. Mailbox stays full therefore you cant leave a message. Card stopped working on a weekend. Showing it expired but the date on the face of card clearly shows it isn't. Stay away..

  Terrible banking experience. I have been with them since 2016 and it has been horrible. If you lose your debit card you have to practically harass them to order it or else they won’t (I once waited TWO months for one because it was never ordered after I called multiple times). They take random $10 fees out now, which has never happened before. As great as a credit union is, this is not the one to join.

  I have been a member of this credit union for over 5 years and never have had a problem until now. I am not satisfied with the Gastonia branch not having any tellers instead you have to request a live video call also I’ve been calling for a week now and no one has answered nor returned my call EVERY voicemail box is now full. My debit card expired in January and I have yet to receive my new one. VERY DISAPPOINTED this is not a way to do proper business!

  This is the worst bank ever. No one has good customer service. They don’t open on Time. This bank is never staffed for customers to recivie the appropriate service. Then when you complain about there services the teller wants to theaten to close your account. Robin at Gastonia location Please consider retraining for customer service and how to be more friendly with people in your community. Ive been with this bank for 2 years and I’m disappointed with their service.

  The worst bank ever... Should be shut down until their policies and service is brought up to speed. I think bc a bank is black owned and predominately black area, that does not mean the standards should be low. That does not mean you treat customers without good service. They have some of the most hood mentality ways of providing service. They are slow with everything and only offer excuses vs resolutions.

  I called this bank to inquire about opening new accts. I chose speak to a person by choosing prompt 0. The response was "no one is able to take your call right know, please leave message after tone. After that it says voice mailbox is full. If they can't manage to achieve simple things like answer their phones or clear out their voice mailbox, should we trust them with our money? I think not.

  I have no problem opening a bank account. I didn't call, I just went there about an hours after they opened. I will say, the place was empty. Two tellers where at the window. Ok. When I walked in, one teller was on her headset laughing and clapping her hands. When I walked up to her window, she said, "oh, sir someone will be with you in a minute. Can you back up to the sign?" I turned around and d*mn near walked out but I thought about the real reason I came down there. It wasn't for this lady. As the urge pounded m, the other teller called me over, helped me out, and didn't skip a beat. SHE is the reason I give 4 starts.

  As a finance professional, I would highly recommend First Legacy Community Credit Union (particularly the Gastonia Branch!). They give GREAT customer service and prove to be an excellent choice to handle all of your personal finance needs. Their programs provide an excellent way to rebuild your credit...the RIGHT way!

  Hot mess! You should have a choice to speak with someone face to face or using that machine. How do expect your business to grow, you are turning down customer and not satisfing customers either. Gastonia office.

  This is an awesome place , the employees here are all friendly and professional , I would not change for any other bank !
