This company bought my mortgage from a different company and we've had nothing but trouble with them. We had trouble logging in to pay our mortgage using the known password and our account was locked. You cannot reset your password and can only contact them (if you're lucky) during their limited business hours. It appears from other reviews that they are attempting to make you late on your payments so they can foreclose on properties. If you can avoid it, stay away from this company!

Worst finance company in the history of EVER! My loan has been paid off for going on 3 months now. I still have not received my escrow check to the tune of over $1300, I have not received a Notice of Satisfaction of the loan nor my 2015 Tax paper. I have been trying since July of 2015 to change my address and they are not competent enough to pull that off. I have jumped through every hoop they have put up and I just want to be done with them. Over the life of the Mortgage every month was a hassel to make the payment. Always issues with their online pay system. If you are thinking of purchasing a home and this finance company is mentioned, DEMAND another unless you want constant aggravation and frustration every month for the next 15-30 years!

Our mortgage was sold to Selene Finance over six years ago and it has been a nightmare. The customer service department is very unprofessional and rude. We requested a written payoff letter since August 15th and have yet to receive anything via fax, email or mail. I have followed up several times each week since the 15th of August and they continue to give us the run around. I wouldn't suggest anyone doing business with this company. . Selene spent the next month jerking us around with paper work. They went so far as to say that one of the forms we sent in could not be accepted because it had a black spot in the corner. They didn't get back to us about the refi until 29 days before for close date saying that they can't do anything. What?!?! Now we can't do anything short sale, deed in lieu, contact a lawyer because all say they 30 days. But still no one can explain HOW Bank of America is being allowed to do this when they sold our mortgage. Guess none of it matters we lose our home tomorrow.

I have a mortgage with this company and I can never get through to them their 800# is non accessible from my area and i'm given the run around every time I try to e-mail them. I never get a call back. They recently upped my mortgage payment and i can't even call them to find out why. This is the third mortgage company that has bought out the mortgage and the only one I've never been able to speak to a real person with. They may have upped my interest rate that may explain the increase. This is maddening.

Selene Finance is HORRIBLE!!! I was helping friend purchase a home because she has a reading disability and I read and sign everything for him. We went to Selene Finance and we were approved for $120,000. I then asked for more, $150,000. They got it bumped up at the rate of 3.8%. Then the interest rate went up after Trump went in office. They then told him that she had a bad thing on her credit and it needed to be fixed. It was a mistake through the company he purchased his car from and once they were aware of it they fixed it right away. Then Bob at Selene Finance said we were all set, we were "golden", all the documents were in and everything was good. My friend found a house, made an offer and it was accepted. Then Selene Finance came back AFTER bid was accepted and said they could no longer fund the loan. They are crooked and I would not recommend them to anyone anywhere. Bob would call me everyday and tell me to hurry hurry hurry buy a home, put offers on multiple homes etc. I finally told her to quit calling me and pushing. So she started calling my friend and pushing him. I say again don't do business with Selene Finance!

Horrible experience. Tried to get them to work with us when we had a reduction in income. They kept dragging everything out until we had to start all over. Later we tried to do a deed in lieu of foreclosure and they did the same thing and even lied to us about deadline. Was reduced to attempting a short sale with a very short deadline. Once we got a buyer they kept postponing things they had to do to try to make it too late so we would have to foreclose. It took our realtor catching our account person in a lie in emails for them to finally move forward. Now they have taken a month after the short sale and have not closed my account and have not called me back twice about fixing it.

They took over my payments in August of 2014 never late paying April of 2015 decided to quit taking my payments because of a descrempacy between the paperwork when they took over my loan now I have spent money on lawyers fees to help keep house now I'm forced to leave my home. During the whole time I would call to make payment they refused and ask me what they could do I would reply take a payment they would reply you are behind . I wouldn't be behind if they just take payment. We couldn't get s modification even when my wife list her job. Also remember they are also with bank of America so if you see these two names on your loan get away try you find some else to take loan

Oh my . . . SELENE FINANCE ROCKS! After seeing just horrible, nasty customer reviews about my mortgage servicer, I figured they needed a pick me up. I started with Bank of America in 2004, they finally sold me off back in 2015 after modifying my mortgage. Yep. Got the 2% rate and a principal balance reduction. What? In Texas? Yes sir, unlike CA and FL, where mortgage companies where writing off millions due to inflated values, my little 110K house was 20K underwater. Remember lending is "fair" to everyone, it wasn't fair that folks in those two states benefitted from shady deals; my house truly lost value. It took a lot of detailed calls and emails. They finally saw the light. I was with Caliber Home Loans for 2 months then sold to Selene Finance. Oh boy, issues with documents being transferred, accounting drama, yada yada but once Selene took over, smooth sailing. Heck, I even had a face to face meeting with customer service instead of the 800 number. Why? My father is hard of hearing plus does things the old fashioned way. Selene didn't have to let us in the door, but they went that extra mile to accommodate my father and scheduled a sit down meeting. Thanks again gang! Then Harvey hit and he did a number on our roof. Selene to the rescue. They offered us 3 payment free months since we had additional expenses and repairs to be done. And ultimately deferred those months until we pay off the loan or sell the house. Thanks again gang! So yeah, I've been around mortgage companies, and Selene has definitely earned our family's trust with all they have done to help us out when we needed it. Thanks gang!

Worst company to deal with! My previous home, given to my ex during our divorce almost EIGHT years ago, was recently foreclosed on. Selene Financial didn't notify me, yet reported that I foreclosed, though I no longer owned the house and had no financial responsibility to it. Now they won't respond to me and actually HUNG UP on me when I advised them that (a) they never even tried to collect money from me (meaning they knew I wasn't liable) and (b) I have legal documentation to back it up.

They have refused to work or provide assistance to repair my home from Hurricane Harvey. They are holding 38,677.24 of my repair money fron TWIA. My contractor told me he refused to do any more work due to their lack of customer service in providing me funds. Really poor company and bunch of crooks as far as my experience.
