Trayll Roseberger5My older sister is developmentally disabled and came in a few months ago with what she believed to be $2500 in spare change she had been saving. She called me completely upset that the bank had shorted her on her deposit, and I drove down, not knowing the situation. When I got there, and she explained she had carried $2500 in spare change to the bank and they had only written her deposit slip for $225, I asked her how big the bag of spare change was. She gave me the rough dimensions of what she carried it in, and I had to explain to her that it was likely impossible for her to have physically carried $2500 worth of spare change in anything smaller than the bed of a pickup truck, and she understood. Then I asked her how she was treated, because that is always a concern for me, as this is my sister, and she has had a long-life of being roughly 12 years old in development, and she said they were actually very nice. She said the clerk counted it through with her three times, gave her 20 minutes of her time, and was never rude in any way. This was on a Saturday, and the line to the bank was backed up out the door, so that could not have been easy for the teller to maintain her composure in that kind of situation. I did make it inside to express my gratitude for their treatment of her, and their respect for her as a customer, but I thought this review would be nice as well.

G S1Have had an issue that should have been resolved months ago. SEFCU has been zero help. Had to call a half dozen times, all for nothing. Avoid this bank at all costs.

Thomas Strock2I don't know why everyone raves about SEFCU. They have the longest lines at the drive through than any bank that I have ever dealt with. Got in line at the Hoosic street branch at 10:38 and didn't leave until 11:18! Ridiculous! I am also a member at HRCCU and have never waited more than 5 minutes. The customer service people are great, it's just the time that it takes to get to them that is outrageous. Go to HRCCU!

Jill Clark1My debit card was stolen on 12/23/20. I immediately called and cancelled and ordered a new one, and paid an additional $36 to have it rushed which was supposed to take 2-3 business days. It is now January 5th, 2021 and I am STILL WAITING FOR THE CARD. I am in quarantine. I cannot do anything online. I cannot order groceries. And the customer service regarding this event has been putrid. Thinking of switching banks just due to this and I have been with them forever.

Jeremy Page3Customer service is always great, the tellers are always polite and friendly. But the bank doesn't always have enough tellers working. Today on a Friday afternoon when everyone is getting out of work they had two tellers helping customers inside and one teller helping the drive in. The line was out the door. They have four teller tables and just weren't utilizing them all at a time when they should be aware it's going to be that busy

Jakeema Taylor1Never had an issue with this bank till recently. We went in for a loan for a SEMI-TRUCK! We were given misinformation and wrong information was put on the application by Stephanie Class. We came in WITH PICTURES of a SEMI-TRUCK AND GAVE VIN#'S!!!! We spoke with and SHOWED pics of the trucks to 2 different workers at this branch before deciding on going through with the application. Neither of them obviously know their job or Sefcu policies!! Fast forward almost a month later and and we handed in all paperwork and got insurance for this SEMI-TRUCK and we are waiting for an answer from the loan department. So I reach out to Stephanie and she is refusing to take my call just telling them to tell me that she emailed me to let me know that she will let us know when everything goes through. Still to this day I haven't heard a peep from her. Now something isn't feeling right so I decided to call customer service rep and asked about the loan. They said they needed some paperwork that looked to be cut off so we went to a diff branch so that paperwork could be scanned and when she is putting in the info she tells us Sefcu DOES NOT do auto loans for SEMI-TRUCKS!! NOW IMAGINE HOW ANGRY, SHOCK AND FRUSTRATED WE ARE!!!!!! This lady wasted our time for a month. This could have all been avoided had she knew her job. So now we are in a hole $12,000 plus interest for a personal loan, NO TRUCK and back to the drawing board. We made NO MONEY FOR OUR BUSINESS!!! Now we have EXTRA BILLS FOR A TRUCK THAT WE DON'T EVEN HAVE!!!!! To top it all off SEFCU isn't even acknowledging THEIR MISTAKE!!!!!! We went in to see if the inquiry could get taken off our credit report and we were told they couldn't because they used that credit report to approve us for the personal loan!!!! I will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BANK to anyone and once this loan is paid off I will be CLOSING all accts with them!!!! I don't know what type of ppl they are hiring and who's running this circus down at the hoosick branch but they need to be retrained!!! Thank you Stephanie and SEFCU FOR WASTING OUR TIME AND MAKING MONEY FOR YOURSELF OUT OF IT!!!!! I am HIGHLY disappointed and displeased!!!! All the business I've don't with this bank just for it to now all be over!!!!
