      This was my second chance with this bank, I’m always having problems first I was hacked and they barely wanted to help me now I can’t even get answers about my IRA. March 11,2022 Tammy has truly changed my view about SECU she went above and beyond to make sure I received the correct document. This could had potentially caused and issue with the IRS for missing money. I just want to say thank you again for keeping me updated on the process and getting my correct documents. She has definitely been the best person I have dealt with YET at the Owings Mills location and I do apologize because I can’t remember the women who reopened my account she was really nice as well. Again thank you Tammy for all your help

      This institution will run scams to get you to open up an account or two with a refer a friend promotion; and receive $50 in your savings account after 60 days. I opened my account in December 2021. It is now April 2022, and still no money in the account. EVERYTIME I CALL I GET THE RUN AROUND!!!!! SCAMMERS!!

      Super happy new customer! I spoke with Tammy, the new manager at this branch and she was telling me about the amazing rates SECU could get me for refinancing my car payments. Tammy was quick to make me an appointment with Penny & told me exactly what I needed to bring in to make the process quick and easy. Within an hour Penny was able to get my rate decreased by almost 2.5% on my auto loan, she helped me setup my monthly payments so that they are on autopilot and even showed me how to work the SECU app on my phone. For years I have banked with Wells Fargo and it has always been a hit or miss experience but knowing that I have Tammy and Penny practically in my backyard and they have my best financial interest in mind really put me at ease. I'm excited to be working with SECU now and highly recommend if you go there to make an appointment with Penny!

      Overall very good experiences here but if you are to ask to increase your credit limit make sure they are not giving you a whole new credit line. In my case instead of increasing the limit of my current line of credit they opened an entire new account which obviously decreased my credit score. I was later contacted by a secu representative and they apologized for the miscommunication and tried to see how they could improve in the future. So I appreciate that. *Still a lifelong SECU user and even got my first home loan through SECU. They gave me the best interest rate and were very incredibly supportive throughout the process.

      I visited the Owings Mills branch yesterday evening and withdrew $1200 from my account. I immediately went to 7-11 to get a money order. Once there I was told that one of the 12, 100 dollar bills was fake. I was able to use the 7-11 bank machine to withdraw another $100 so that I could for-fill the money order. I have receipts from all transactions and all of this occurred within 30 mins. After being told that the money was fraudulent, I immediately called SECU to notify the bank. I wanted to know what I could/should do in my power to help resolve this issue. I was contacted by the Owings Mills bank manager this morning, who act like this was impossible. I immediately left work to take the bill to the manager and was told that the bill would need to be sent to the federal government. After inspection, If it is found fraudulent then I would be out of this $100. The manager lacked the appropriate customer service skills to deescalate the situation, In fact, she acted like this was impossible. Now this has left me with some serious questions: 1. The money was found fradulent via several methods done by 7-11 and SECU so if it is found fraud by the government, how am I the one who losses when I received the bill from your automated teller? 2. How does SECU check their money that is distributed? 3. I know you have the video recording of me at the machine but do you have tracking on the specific bills that I was given? 4. Should I purchase a money pen to check all money given to me from SECU

      I bank with SECU and usually really appreciate the service I get. However, at this particular branch I receive mostly incompetence from the employees and frustration from the experience. This branch stated that my wife could not open an account with SECU, At another branch there were no problems opening an account. I came to this branch to open an estate account and I was instructed to bring the wrong documents. Again, no problems opening it or with the instructions at the branch on Preston St. Came to this branch to make a deposit on my lunch break, of course the atm is down and I am relegated to "wait in line for the teller". There are 4-5 people in line, that will take at least 30 minutes. it would have been convenient and polite to post this info on the website for members. I'm done with this branch, it sucks. I'll frequent the one near my home exclusively.

      Very professional service oriented staff. I have had multiple visits at this location throughout the years for various loans and banking applications. The Branch Manager (Lorisa) is especially gifted with Excellent, professional managerial and leadership skills that help motivate her employees to further promote the reputation and mission statement of SECU.       Manager here is not accommodating or familiar with customer service. This branch has been contemplating leaving SECU and I’ve been a member for over 20 years... never use or will use this branch again!! try another bank before you stop here!!! They are literally giving out fake money and not standing by it!!!
