SDCCU Rancho Bernardo Branch Reviews

JoAnn Thiss1Not sure when SDCCU stopped being a leader in financial services and started becoming the premier authority on proper facial cover wearing, but I'm pretty sure your employee training doesn't include PPE fittings. Stick with retail banking, focus on customer relations and stop tell people how to wear a damn facial covering...After years of being with SDCCU I pulled my money out immediately after being chastised for how I was wearing my face covering.

Steve Witte1I have been a loyal customer for over 35 years, and up until recently, I have been happy with customer service. I moved to the Rancho Bernardo area a couple of years ago and started using this branch. I had several issues with this branch, from their lack of knowledge and assistance when my account was fraudulently compromised to merely trying to walk in and deposit funds into my account. Today was another example that customer service is not a priority. There was a line of patrons inside and outside the branch waiting for teller service. They had one teller working the counter while two other employees were behind the teller stations, one standing looking over the shoulder of another seated and on the computer. Amazingly, there was something that important that they could not help with the line of customers. Lack of customer service is a common theme with this branch and the reason I will be taking my business to another bank. And the COVID sign on the front door is very threatening and offensive. Not the way you should address your customers coming into the bank.

BSU Bronco1I had one of the worst cases of customer services in my entire 76 years of life at the Rancho Bernardo Credit Union branch. As a result of being completely humiliated, I closed my accounts, which I used for over 10 years and had over $20,000. The branch manager (Kristina) treated me horribly and embarrassed me in front of people who watched. I am elderly and she told me I could not have any friends or family members with me as I performed my transactions, despite my being hard of hearing.

D1Absolutely terrible online banking. I went through the process of opening an account here after using Chase elsewhere and SDCCU had more branches. After using it for about 6 months, and having technical issue after technical issue, I closed my account and went back to Chase. Plus, the customer service at the Rancho Bernardo branch when I tried to get assistance was terrible. It's clear SDCCU has a LONG way to go when it comes to online bill pay, etc. They need to hire some true technicians. Until then, I'll bank at Chase.

Don May1If I could give this branch negative stars I would. I am my mother's financial conservator. We went to the bank together and the branch manager would not let me witness my mother's conversation about her personal spending account even though my mom requested me to be present. The branch manager's name is Chritina Nichols. She could not have been more difficult or unpleasant. AVOID BRANCH AT ALL COSTS.

Jason Cronje1Sign up at a credit union for better customer service and better banking they said! Wrong. The manger of this branch Michael is extremely unprofessional, rude, and aggressive. I have closed my accounts and will gladly take my business to a bank that values and respects me as a customer. SDCCU's technology is also extremely outdated and their website is pretty pathetic. Get with the times!!

Jackie Ackeret1During a situation involving identity theft SDCCU agents gave me wrong information and the bank manager not only refused to release my direct deposit after my account had been fraudulently used, but also the bank us charging me fees for translations that I never authorised. Even after filing a police report about tube fraud and identity theft SDCCU won't make things right. They're victimizing me just as badly as the thrives. Not only would I not recommend SDCCU, but the sheriffs deputy said he's heard this before with them and even he wouldn't use them. Shame on SDCCU for victimizing their customers instead of protecting them.

Zach Shemy5I went in with many questions and got immediate help by the first person I saw in the front, Barbara Wang. Even at the end I asked if they still gave out the free sunglasses they used to give during the promotion, and after she said no, she went to her own car to give me a couple of her own. Sweetest lady I've ever met.
