RiverLand Federal Credit Union Reviews

Lady Doc7771I am so disappointed in this credit union. Buyers beware! My ex-husband and I took out a HELOC loan with Riverland Credit Union about 10 years ago. Fast forward, we have subsequently divorced and in the divorce decree I was made to deed him the home with Riverland CU and he deeded my home in another state. I have no legal rights, obligations, or use of his home. I no longer received bank statements and the ex-husband assumed the notes. When asked about removing my name from the loan after divorce, Riverland CU informed me that my ex-husband would have to refinance or sell the house to get my name off the loan. Our divorce was contentious and unfortunately, we no longer communicate. Nonetheless, he made on-time payments since the divorce until he sold the property one month ago. He missed the last payment and it shows as a delinquency on my credit report. I call to ask for a courtesy removal since I no longer received statements and the ex has access to the accounts and I was completely unaware of delinquency before the sale. I spoke with Peter Chassaignac In the compliance department at Riverland CU who proceeds to tell me that "divorce is hard" but Riverland will not remove the delinquency from my consumer reporting even though I'm an injured ex-spouse. I believe there are laws to protect ex-spouses after divorce. Peter was very condescending and not willing to understand the effect this is having on me. Company policy is company policy, no arguing that but to treat customers with disrespect is appalling. Riverland, do better -signed an angry customer Louise Gombako, M.D.

Walter Ross5I open my account at RiverLand Federal Credit Union way back in 1989. Since then I have had multiply financial transactions, and love the manner in which they handle my accounts; And as far as Ms. Lyons is concerned, she is one of the best in the industry. Lastly I am coming up on my 30th anniversary with RiverLand and I would say, its been an awesome ride.

Wanchella Smith (Shelly)1They are very prejudice especially the vice president of lending and the CEO. Ms Lyons in lending is a extremely dishonest person.
