Renasant Bank Reviews

Cabria Murphy1My husband and I left from there just now 1/21/2022. I’ve never been racially profiled before until stepping into here. Anyways someone hit my car so their insurance company sent us a check to get the car repaired and a check for his injuries. Let’s be real the amounts weren’t even $2,000. A Caucasian lady and a Hispanic lady were the ones to assist us because we had separate checks. The lady assisting my husband was like unfortunately I’m not allowed to cash your check without calling and verifying. When she noticed the Hispanic lady was getting ready to cash mine she stopped her and said let me save you the trouble and verify yours as well. After basically whispering about the info not looking like it was matching they finally called whatever business they pulled up on their computers even though I pointed out the adjuster info on the paper with the claim number and any other info they would need PROVIDED by they insurance company along with the check. They said oh no we have to go off of the info we see on our screen. It just rubbed me so wrong. They finally got someone on the phone to verify everything ( that was already provided on the paper). Of course they apologized about the wait but at that point I was annoyed. Like I bank with plenty of banks and I’ve had many issues like this but I never was stopped from cashing a check. I would never return. Atleast not to this location!

Alan Carleton1As Brand Bank this was the best experience I have ever had with a bank until Renasant picked them off. People in Mississippi are rude and very un helpful. This once great bank has been destroyed over night by this merger. All my business and personal banking is in the process of being moved to a new institution very soon. If you are considering Renasant you will probably be better of at Bank Of America not much difference!

Crystal Lyliston1So we came into this bank so my boyfriend could straighten out his card. There were two other individuals waiting a man and a woman. The man had gotten here first. The account lady took the woman first. The man was upset and said something after she finished. She told him well she was sitting in my section. Number 1 there is one two seater chair and two lone chairs. 2. He was not instructed to sit a specific place. He say closest to her table. This is unprofessional. If I was banking here, I would go elsewhere. Nice excuse. I'm not okay with stereotyping which is what it seemed to be to me.

Katherine W2If you are looking for a bank that does things quick, like deposit cash into your account from the ATM , then DON'T BANK WITH BRANDBANK. I deposited cash on a holiday, President's day (a Monday) and it didn't post until midnight Wednesday morning. UNACCEPTABLE. Should have posted immediately or at the very latest the following day. Their online banking is really inconvenient because every time I want to look at my account I have to wait for an email with a code so I can proceed because it says it does not recognize my computer, when every time I click that this is my personal computer. Also, I signed up for this bank because one of their reps came to my work and signed up a bunch of us. She told us we would get $100.00 if we did direct deposit and $50 per each person we referred. I got 7 people to sign up with the bank and it took over 4 months before I saw my money. After many phone calls back and forth I got $200 out of them. You do the math. The bank is really pretty and the hours in Buford, GA are really good, but I am really disappointed. Mainly because of the first thing I stated. I am really pregnant like almost 8 months and I needed that cash available so I can get health insurance in time. Because of them, my card declined twice and now I can't sleep because I am worried I won't be able to get insurance in time. I am really angry and disappointed, because I was starting to really like them and felt secure being at a small bank, but I am probably going to close the account now. I can't be relying on them to pay my bills and such when they take their sweet time to do everything.

Gregory Emler5Best banking experience in three States [California, Ohio, and Georgia] and over 30 years experience. We have tried the "big box" and the small saving and loans. Renasant is the best of both. Thank you Stephanie [at Buford] for being our banker.
