Steve Luck18-1-20 Received a special $400 bonus flyer by snail mail to open a Lifegreen checking acct. Looked like an easy $400 until I attempted to open same on-line. After entering the required info, I got a screen that said OOPS! that stopped the process. It gave me choices to proceed, one of which was calling a phone number. Spent 30-min on hold, only to get someone who couldn't help, but instead gave me a direct number to New Accounts. That took another 30-min hold. In the meantime, I opened a new window on the computer and reentered the info, only to get a screen that told me the info was already registered. Finally, New Accounts person gets on the line and, being unable to see the info I had already entered that was supposedly registered, asked lots of info I needed to match from public records. Nothing fit me, but I must have given some wrong answers, because I failed the test. End of phone call. I was thinking of calling the local office, but after seeing all the negative reviews, I may just be glad I didn't get the account set-up. If it's this difficult to set up an account in response to a Regions flyer, what horrors await once we get the account. So far, Regions wins the incompetence award.

J Stathis1We were going to use them for our first home loan until they displayed absolute lack of ability and lied numerous times throughout the ordeal. After weeks of being told everything was OK we were 1 business day away from closing when they finally sent everything to underwriting. Which completely changed numbers, so everything they had aimed and promised in writing went out the window. Constant excuses, when I got John Settin the VP on the phone he claimed everything was correct numbers wise. When I pointed out 2 incorrectly documented numbers (thousands off) his reply was "well besides that". Cindy Sherbert was our loan originator with them and assured me until the final day that EVERYTHING was in order. But at the final moment it wasn't, in fact it was the total opposite. I had to go in and re-sign documents for them they misplaced, her assistant caught where signatures were missed. Then after changing lenders and getting it all sorted out within 3 days with the GREAT team at palmetto mortgage we were again held up by regions and its staff. The appraisal they ordered which I paid for was invalid because of the timing. (It needed to be past 90 days from purchase date for the seller.) You would think that after 14 years Cindy and her team would know this. So after transferring the appraisal they wouldn't authorize the appraiser to audit the date. After speaking with the appraiser and the appraisal dept all John or the appraiser William Moon had to do was call their own department to get it handled in about 5 min. So I lost my closing even with the new lender. Due to ANOTHER bad play by Regions, John Settinand Cindy Sherbert. Thanks for ruining our first time home purchase not once but twice, and 4 days before Christmas. I have filed a claim with their corporate office. And the BBB. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK AND IT'S HORRID GATHERING OF PEOPLE.

Julie Stephens5My bank I love my banker Rich at the main branch every time I have a question or need anything all I have to do is pick up the phone and call he is always there when I need him to be. As far as others comments about them closing or not getting back to them I can't answer that but I just know that I have had great service in the year-and-a-half that I've been with region

Tonya Watson1Every time I go make a deposit it takes 10 minutes & I'm only allowed to be away for 15 minutes & they only have 1 teller...A bank is supposed to have more than 1 working...This is why I LOVE Bank Of America & don't bank @ Regions...I actually didn't know Regions existed until I started working @ Public Storage

Raizo Smith1Where every other bank will display the amount that you actually have available to spend, Regions does not which results in you going into the negatives. Even if you go into the negatives by a penny you're still charged with a $36 overdraft fee. This bank is a ripoff and I will be going back to Wells Fargo.
