Will never use regions again called will be closing my account and have sat on hold 3 different times for over 30 minutes a piece and young girl answered the phone and I told her what I needed, just a copy of a check I had cashed, and she proceeded to take my name and number and would call me back at 2pm and told me that their drive thru was backed up and she needed to let me go! How unprofessional I understand people are busy at the time with Covid 19 going on but I have waited more than my time for just a simple question. Then to just be told a lie and never get a phone call back. Needless to say I won’t have a regions account anymore!

This Regions bank is wonderful, it has a nice modernesque architectural look to it with each teller separate at different stands where customers have waist high chairs to sit at across from their teller. I came by around lunch time where a greeter with a clip board asked how we could be helped that day. They had at least 5-6 teller stations open which helped a lot with the amount of volume they had at around 12:30pm on the Friday I visited. The only suggestion I can make is some sort of sound dampening panels installed around the ceiling to keep the noise level down as well as provide more customer privacy since the stands already have side partitions, but they don’t seem to help do more than block sound that well. Great experience!

I have called the 800 number for help on a stolen debit card. I called numerous times and waited on hold over 35 minutes. No one ever picks up. Numbers for the branches are not listed so banking with regions is over for me. I'm going to the branch and closing my account. Update. I finally had someone answer my phone call on the 800 line after a 23 minute wait. I explained there was a debit charge that I did not authorize/recognize. I do not use checks. I do not have overdraft protection. I do not use ACH debits. I use only a debit card. I asked why regions paid this charge and charged me a NSF fee. I know if there is no money available for a debit charge it is simply declined. Regions associate explained to me that this was a reoccuring debit so it was paid. We all know a reoccuring debit is a debit that comes on the same day every month for the Same amount from the same company. My situation was the same company that debited my account three separate amounts .99, 2.00 and finally 29.98 all on random days and random months. What is reoccurring about these I asked? She said they all came from the same company. So if you use your debit card at McDonald's on three occasions it is now a reoccuring debit and will be authorized for payment even if you do not have funds in your account. They will also charge you a $36 NSF fee. I use debit because I don't want anything paid if there is no money to cover the charges. Regions did not explain this when I opened the account. If they had I would have chosen not to bank with them, as I feel this is flat out fraud. I called the company who debited my account. They returned my money and credited my account. Regions did not reverse the NSF fee. Since I cannot close my account until it has a positive balance they are still charging me a monthly maintenance fee of $8 per month. I'm going to write a letter to the operations supervisor asking the fees be waived and the account closed.

I needed a letter of proof of funds. The teller said they didn’t do that. He could print out a copy of my account. I went to a different branch, they wrote me a letter.
