Jeffrey Patty5Service department is great! They will tell you exactly what they're recommending and how much it will be, so no surprises. They also get you in and out in a timely fashion, and their VIP program is awesome! Sales department is the best! We've now bought 3 vehicles from RC Hill and we love them all, and each buying experience has been wonderful. We've always been nervous buying a car, but the RC Hill staff has always been great in alleviating fears and making the process as smooth as possible. 10/10 would recommend.

Ten50boy3When we bought our 2018 Outlander (new), we couldn’t be more thrilled. We paid extra for a package that included our tire rotations and oil changes, paid for a few extra bells and whistle’s and couldn’t be happier. Yet, a few short months later, I realized that they were not rotating my tires. I mentioned it when scheduling appointments, as my wife would bring the car in for service due to my crazy work schedule. I later realized that it still wasn’t being done. I chalked the front tires in an inconspicuous manner and again brought it up. Still, no tire rotation. Within approximately 40,000 miles I realized that the front tires were literally bald. The dealer advises me I need to buy tires and quotes me a price that was nearly $200.00 more than any other major chain around. I complained and was offered essentially an $15.00 discount per wheel on the “installation” of each. Needless to say, I went with a National chain. I wanted the rear brakes checked, which they did. For laughs I checked the price of pads.... about $35.00 at all parts stores. They quoted me $169.00 and advised that it only needed pads and that they wouldn’t touch the rotors. They also advised that I should buy a new air filter and cabin filter. Well....I had just installed a new cabin filter (Beck Arnley) and ordered a K&N, so I declined. Obviously, they hadn’t even checked the cabin filter and just went by recommendations. By the way, the K&N was about $40 through a national chain and its a reusable filter. The dealer had quoted me a “discount” of $49.99 for the cheap paper replacement. In any event, the sales team was wonderful when I bought. Maintenance is sketchy at best. I have to say, I was looking to buy another Outlander when the 2022 arrives. Now, I’m considering going back to my old loyalty and buying a Sorento or Santa Fe. I could never complain about the level of service I received from either Kia or Hyundai. They always offered great prices and took care of their customers. If you buy an Outlander, beware..... don’t buy any packages.... they won’t honor them and will not offer you any real compensation when they fail to meet standards. Too bad.....we liked our Mitsubishi, but they most likely are losing good customers due to stupid issues that they could’ve remedied. And….as you all can see, even the snarky response to my original review advised that there was no reason they didn’t rotate the tires. I never said it was malicious or intentional, it was just shear neglect to follow through with service. Again, loved the SUV and had a great sales experience in the beginning. I wasn’t shaming or trying to insult, just point out that the service was lacking….. even when extra money was paid. As for aftermarket vs factory parts…. Well, we all know why certain aftermarket parts from reputable companies like K&N exist. It definitely isn’t because factory parts are always better. The review shouldn’t be looked at as negative, it was three stars…it should be looked at as more of an incentive to improve on shortcomings. Remember the old standard, the customer is always right. A great service team only compliments the great sales team and acts as an incentive to keep/win back that customer. Anyhow, I understand your frustration. I too have been responsible for a large business, it’s always frustrating to hear of failings or short comings. Again, there’s always ways to improve….. not acknowledging a customers frustrations and minimizing is not one of them. We could do this all day long, but I’m over it already. Thank God my other vehicle has been nothing but a pleasure in regards to sales and service. Looking forward to buying my next one there in a couple months.
Response from the ownerThank you for the review. As I read it, its really about customer expectations. Customers that want to save money and elect to install aftermarket parts can save money. And of course, OEM parts are designed for Mitsubishis with proper fit and function. But some people do not see the value or budget for that option. Obviously that is debatable, right? However we offer, GOOD, BETTER, and BEST options, if these budget concerns come up. But, most of the time customers do not tell us upfront there is a value or budget concern, they just say, let me think about it or let me talk to my spouse. And then they call aftermarket parts stores. Actually, 90% of the time our customers prefer OEM replacement tires and brake pads, and filter items because it delivers the best drivability and experience. Plus, OEM parts are warrantied by the manufacture and dealer. As far as the VIP package. We rotate tires every other visit or 10,000 miles. This maximizes the life of the tires. There is absolutely no reason why we would not rotate tires on purpose. this accusation is ridiculous. Maybe bad communication internally on our part lead to a missed rotation. But if brought to our attention we would drop everything and get that done for you. We value your business at any level you wish. Ultimately, we have to understand what you feel you want to install and we can beat any pricing you find. Finally, the 2022 outlander is is phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and drive one. And, you will get loyalty incentive to buy one!! If you wish to discuss further or if i missed anything please reach out to me. Thank you and for the input.
