  It is a real shame that some of the nicest bank tellers I have met at the Hayward branch have to work under one of the worst bank managers I have ever met and also share their branch with some of the unfriendliest, dumbest bank tellers in the trade. After being a customer there for many years I have had it. During the last visit I was told my accounts were closed which the HQ later told me was obviously not true. But that was just one of many dumb mistakes that I have had to withstand doing business with this credit union. I will find another place to bank - the sooner the better. Done with Provident.

  I have been a member of Provident Credit Union for 20 years and they have never let me down. They are very nice ppl. When I had an issue regarding going over my limit, they were willing to help me out. Every employee is friendly and makes me smile.

  Atm outside is often not working. Recently changed policy so they charge overdraft at the bank's own atm, no warning either, that's literally just stealing from poor people. Had a bad experience in which a teller told me "you need to put more money in your account" to avoid overdrafts... most demeaning thing anyone's ever told me. And the bank manager was just as bad, doesnt show any care or concern, and this was a separate event. Just as bad as any bank, but worse service. Try any other Credit Union.

  If you are still using a big bank, I have to ask why? Let your financial institute work for you. Not the other way around!
