Progressions Credit Union Reviews

Thomas Peak5After years of banking with the largest credit union in the Puget Sound area (hint: Boeing Employee's), I found an incredible auto loan rate with Progressions. This was almost 4 years ago. I have had nothing but great experiences with them since. Truly superior customer service and responsiveness. I will never leave them.

Danielle ROBBINS5Absolutely love this Credit Union. Wonderful people. Their customer service is great, their office is kid friendly and they treat you like family. The app is easy to use, and their security features for your account is satisfactory. I get emails every time anything looks suspicious on my account from a real person asking of it's ok to let that transaction through. Free banking, no fees. This Credit Union really is the best.

samantha Ferguson1I was on my way to buy a car and I stopped at their ATM to pull the cash off for the cat with my mom's debit card. No where marked around the atm said anything like ATM will not return card while updating. So when I stuck my card in it didn't say anything funny in the screen. But once I put my card in it ate it and said out of order. So I went over to a tellers drive threw line and called to ask how to get my card back because like I said before I was on my way to go buy a car so I despritly needed that money. And they informed me supposedly the guy with key wasbr there and had already gotten in there once thAt day so we would have to wait till the next day so I raise a stink about it because it was wrong that they didn't have marked anywhere in so they send out send out somebody right then to fix it and then I go back to get my mom's debit card in the required an ID so is there bad that their machine ain't my mom's debit card and then on top of it they were going to make it that much harder on me that I had to go get my mom and my mom's I'd. So basically what I'm saying is I would not go to this place ever again.

Jasmine Perez1I wanted to like this credit union. I've had positive experiences with the tellers. I'm so frustrated by their archaic systems. I opened an account here separate from my husband's just for myself. I use this for my own spending money or surprises for him. My account is constantly bouncing around. I plan to close the account tomorrow. Everything bounces due to "insufficient funds" but then give it a day or so and it all levels back out and I see the refunds for the insufficient funds. The balances are completely inaccurate when you have pending transactions. It is beyond frustrating. I'll check my balance and see next to nothing in there then the next morning the totals come back up to what they should be. If I try to use my debit card while the balances are seemingly low (even though they're not really!) it will be denied. So many things have bounced because I have multiple pending transactions and it lowers the available funds to next to nothing until it finalizes and gives you access to your money again. It's caused so many unnecessary headaches for us. I've never had this problem with any other bank or credit union. Again, I wanted so badly to like them because the people I've encountered are friendly but they're so behind technologically. Also ATM's are archaic and depositing money/checks takes forever to hit your account if you use the ATMs.

Shawna Reynolds5I have very much appreciated the service provided at Progressions CU throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. I am a non-member but I do belong to an area credit union. Progressions is the only area CU that still participated in shared branch banking during the pandemic. My CU is not in town or as close as STCU or Progressions. I have had exceptional service and been very satisfied with my encounters with all who work at Progressions. If I didn't already belong to another CU I would definitely become a Progressions member.

Eyehaightewe Gofuqurcelph (EG)1THESE PEOPLE WILL HARASS YOU TO COME BACK TO BE A CUSTOMER FOR YEARS. Please read postscripts below!!!!! No money owed on my end, they however have no regard to the damage they have caused me and my family. And still no apology from the coward Herb after 2.5 years. I received a call from their loan officer/collections department Herb on April 4, 2016, a scant week and a half after my father died. Herb was requesting that I make a decision on an RV loan that was in my father's name that was no where near close to overdue. I told Herb that I hadn't even gotten my father's death certificates and was legally unable to make any decision like that until I had the certificates in hand. Herb then asked me to come down to the credit union to have a meeting with him in his office, where he then grilled me for my plan with the RV, all while refusing any information I requested on the RV. I ended up having to get the funeral home who was handling my father's cremation to expedite the shipping out of the certificates. I received the certificates and confirmed what I had believed. The RV was no where close to being overdue, and there was enough money in my dad's accounts to cover five more automatic payments. After realizing this, it hit me. Herb was trying to get *me* to take the loan. All Progressions wanted was money. They didn't care about my loss, or even that I hadn't had a chance to bury my father. They just wanted money. Sadly, after trying for weeks to figure out how to retrieve the RV (which is a whole other horrible story in itself), I ended up handing back the keys to Progressions to have them deal with it. My father and I were both customers here for 30 years each, for a combined customer time of 60 years. Progressions did nothing but harass me, and then never got back to me even when I requested speaking to a supervisor that same day on April 4th when I got that horrible call from Herb. When I spoke with someone to complain I was promised a call back and never got one. The week after I buried my father, I talked to Loretta and she said "Well, it's too late for an apology now." That sealed the deal, Progressions. 60 years combined of being a customer, and you guys let me down, big time. POSTSCRIPT: Progressions has finally reached out to me in an attempt to make things right. It's only too bad that they ignored me sobbing in their offices and didn't seem to care about me until I started making ratings posts on websites. Again, over five weeks went by before their credit card officer told me that "it was too late for an apology". I still haven't even gotten an apology from Herb Anderson for his hand in this. The entire board of directors and President (who I actually went to HS with her daughter) should be ashamed of themselves. This is NOT how you treat a life-long customer. Months after the too-little, too-late apology from the president, I still continued to receive tons of junk mail from their vendors. I was forced to call the vendors and the credit union (AGAIN!) to tell them to stop spamming my physical mail box with junk from their vendors. I was obviously not a member should couldn't partake in these "special offers". Nice, yes? Great behavior from a place who once called themselves "Spokane Postal Credit Union". Did I mention I was a member back then? Because I was. POSTPOSTSCRIPT: November 6, 2018: I received a message on Yelp from Jason out of Progressions telling me I'm welcome to come back to the "Progressions credit union family". I called him to tell him that, no, I still haven't received an apology from Herb (whom I should have reported to the AG), and that I would never be part of a "family" like that. Herb still works at the CU as their loan officer. This morning was a great reminder of what they did to me in one of the most vulnerable and horrible experiences of my life.
Response from the ownerWe understand that the loss of a loved one is a stressful situation. There was no intention by Progressions Credit Union to add to any grief or stress you may have had from this loss. We definitely appreciate your father and you being members for such a long time. It was our understanding that you were able to speak to a supervisor and that she was able to answer your questions. We do not want to lose you as a member but understand that this has been difficult for you. Feel free to contact us at 509.535.0191 if you would like to try to discuss this further.

Crystal Hoyle5Awesome bank! And love the people! Especially the nicest lady ever Barb, who gave me my truck loan. She made me feel like family. And still does when ever I see her. Love you Barb!

Chris Wooley5Love these guys! I got a great rate on my car - and they went above and beyond the call of duty to help me. Jason, the guy helping me, even called the auto dealership I was working with to negotiate a better rate for me and to work out all the details. WOW! How does that? I'm very happy with the entire process. Can't recommend them enough.
Response from the ownerThank you for the kind words Chris! We'll pass on the compliment to Jason. If there is anything else we can do for you please give us a call at 509.535.0191.

Barbara Arnzen5I have been going here for 42 years. Compared to experiences I've had at banks, this place should have ten stars. They truly treat you well. The very best customer service I have ever had at any business I've ever been to throughout my life.
