  I must say that at this point in time, having put a deposit down on a home that is being built, I have some concerns reading prior reviews. It seems as though it is a love/hate relationship with Pratt, and people have either had a great, or terrible experience. 34 Five star reviews (60%) , and 17 ONE star reviews (30%). No middle ground here! I am giving 5 stars because I have dealt with two representatives, Kirk Ruoff, and Chris Trainor, who have been first class. I am hoping that the rest of the organization mirrors their professionalism and desire to help customers......but I'll reserve comment on the contractors/foremen, and let you know in a few months when I am hoping to move in. Being in the mortgage business, Pratt has a decent reputation for building a quality home at a fair price. More to come....

  This builder has good people working here, but the quality and follow up on thier homes, once built, is not worth the cost. You spend a ton of money on a new home, and they end up having to fix a multitude of issues afterwards. I would go on and on regarding the inside of the home, but I don't want to post from inside of my home. The pictures below are of my yard. This builder is all about building homes quickly while taking as many short cuts as possible to save money and build a larger profit margin. There's a difference in being efficient and cutting corners. The reputation that Pratt has is not good in our community nor outside of it. 5 star rating was given well before house was built. That rating was soley based on dealing with Sharon, who was great.

  Horrible customer service. Impossible to reach. They don't return calls or emails. Brittany's contact bubble is smack dab in the middle of every page of their website and there is no way to close it in order to view the information about their homes. They don't list prices. You can't get any information unless you go through Brittany first. If you're lucky enough to finally talk to someone, they don't follow up. I guess they don't want my money. Based on their reviews, it seems I may have dodged a bullet.

  Our experience with Pratt builders was very good. They had a great in-house system with a very helpful professional decorator to help us pick out a floor plan, colors, fixtures etc. They were very timely with each phase of the process. We received great personal service at each phase. Service after the sale has been fantastic. (I sold real estate for 13 years and have never seen the level of service after the sale that this company offers...including cosmetic touch ups at the one year mark). I gave 4 stars rather than 5 because all new home construction comes with a unique set of snags/problems but Pratt worked with us to effectively and fairly deal with each one. Our job foreman was professional and as helpful as possible. This was our third new house build and we are satisfied with the overall process. We are enjoying our new home very much.

  Pratt Home Builders has changed my life! They took a chance on a young guy with just a few years of construction experience, and they trusted me to build for them. They care about their customers and have trained their employees how to give everyone the best experience. Because of their dedication to their incredible process, I know how to build a beautiful house so that my customers can buy their forever home!

  They were quick to respond and give us answers once we contact the direct sales team thru the lender instead of the internet rep . It seems like buying houses nowadays is a pain due to all this sales internet people that never get in touch with you and they act as if they are making you a favor. We loved their homes and community but we ended up not going with them because they are asking 10% down that you may not get back if you decide to back up. The problem is they don't have houses until 9 months from now, they want lets say 40k on what we were looking when the rates are at 3% but they won't lock in the rates until 6 weeks before closing. They are passing the risk to the buyer by not locking the rate. What if my rates are 6 or 8 % in 9 months from now?. If I am not willing to risk it than my 40k are gone. No way, too risky in my opinion.

  The door hinges on a brand new built "pratt quality home" just fell off. They used 1/4 inch screws to attach door hinges... where else are they skimping and conning buyer's. Any neighborhood that's built in 6 weeks should be avoided. Sadly I've watched this happen for years. And their warranty doesn't cover their known mistakes. Beware of seller. Cleveland TN is their new mark.

  I am approaching my 5th year as a proud employee of Pratt Home Builders. I have spent many years in the building industry and have never worked anywhere that cares more about their people than Pratt. This goes beyond employees, our team cares about our buyers, our builder partners and the community. We do so much for the Chattanooga area that is often not made public because we do things for the right reasons. I am honored to be part of this team. I feel great when someone asks me where I work, because they almost always say "I love your homes".

  Cookie cutter neighborhoods. They are buying land anywhere they can just so they can divide it up into the smallest legal lots and sell them for a premium. They don't care about the community, just money.

  Working with Pratt to build my new home could not have been more enjoyable! From the beginning of the process guided by Dell, through the design choices greatly assisted by Sharon to the completion of the project overseen by Michael, I felt supported and valued. There were a few challenges along the way but it was how Pratt worked through them and supported my vision that made the difference. I would gladly work with Pratt again!
