PNC Bank Reviews

Matt Allen1Came in the other day to exchange cash for quarters for me and my partner(who has an account with PNC), as we needed them for our apartment complex’s laundry machines. I don’t have an account with PNC because I’m a student who already has other bank accounts with branches elsewhere, but I figured most banks wouldn’t mind exchanging cash for a couple rolls of quarters even if I did not have an account with them. Wrong. The manager I spoke to was extremely rude and condescending and refused to budge on their policy of no coins to someone who is not a “customer” even though I was there trying to get the quarters on behalf both myself and of my partner who was feeling very ill on the day in question, which is why I was there on my own in the first place. Ended up getting a roll from the customer service desk at Wegmans during my grocery trip instead, so much for an extreme coin shortage. Take your business elsewhere. You’ll get better customer service, lower fees, and better rates on any sort of account or loan at your local credit union.

Omarfa11Some of the employees are good and welcoming. Most of them are not, many times I needed to see an account manager, the employee treats you like you are a bigger rather than a customer who is GIVING them money! Their signature question “ WHAT DO YOU WANT” in a tone like why the hell are you here it just annoys me. My father wanted to open an account with them, I convinced him not to, my wife is opening an account soon, I advised her not to use their services. And I am closing my account with them soon!

Angela Yu1NEVER go to this bank. Lost 1K in cash due to the teller miscounting money. The bank even refused to show the surveillance footage of what happened to the police. Feel like they are a total THEFT.

Bing H5I have always been going to this branch in the past 3 years. It was always very pleasant experience with kind and professional staff. I gave this review today because earlier I had a hard time trying to find answers to some questions with the downtown branch over the phone. But when I called the N Atherton branch, the staff was very patient and careful in listening to my question and discussed with me what would be the best for me to do.

Jamie Campbell1We came to open an account for my daughter and were brushed off. Told that we could do it on-line, because they were "short-staffed" BS on that. I would not have come in if I wanted to do it on-line I would have done that obviously. This branch ALWAYS is TERRIBLE.

Matthew Kumjian1Do not come to PNC if you're looking for a loan on a new house. We are on Day 65 of the process (not including pre-approval, etc.), and I'm sitting homeless at a hotel waiting for them to finish "the paperwork". The builder is done and ready to close; I have been ready to close, but PNC still refuses to give a closing date. Further, they do not return phone calls and give cryptic answers by email. The delays were brought on by the loan officer (Travis) and processor (Dana) mis-communicating with the builder, and sitting on documents without moving them along. I'm seeking out competitors at this point to find out who can get me into the house faster. Avoid unnecessary stress and financial strain, and find someone else for your mortgage loan.

Eddie Boal5To those tethered to PNC bank as I am, this location is a good experience. It's got 2 nice ATMs on the outside that are easily accessible and parking is rarely an issue.
