PNC Bank Reviews

Honest Review5(04/11/22) I moved out of town, and I had to close my account’s. Usually they treat you well when opening, but other banks when you close, they lose interest in you. Well, PNC Bank went above and beyond awesome customer service. Seemed like this employee (cash box 4) was training, but he treated me with the respect we all deserve. When I move back to this area, they will be my Bank. Where I moved to, there are no PNC banks, no free atm’s, plus I like to walk into the bank and see all the smiling faces. This is the reason I had to close my accounts. Thank You guys for the awesome customer service.

Dale Gibble1Worst possible customer service. I called the branch on Katy Freeway in Houston and they hung up on me. Nothing else they have done shows any interest in customer service. I can't see why people still have accounts here.

E BRO1Went to close an an account and had to wait a long time. Why don’t banks either hire more people or schedule more employees? Chick-fil-A chooses to do this, why don’t banks?

Zachary Scott1Horrible Experience with Bank Manager Miguel Montes. From the moment I walked in the door I was treated like a suspect. I am a business owner and recent account opener at PNC Bank. I came in to make a Wire Transfer and ended up with no available balance with my funds on hold with the "Fraud Department". When I got into his office he made no attempt at small talk with me, had what seemed to be a personal call on speaker phone going while I was in his office after what felt like 10 minutes of dead air, I asked "Is there anything you need from me, can you confirm to me what is going on?" He responded with a non-responsive "i'm verifying that a wire would be able to be done". Which of course, means absolutely nothing. He then asks a few interrogative questions “why are you wiring this money instead of depositing?” and similar. His apparent personal call finally comes through and he dismisses me from the office. I ask for my ID card back, he refuses and says he is still chatting with the department. I go and vent to a teller, he comes over and hands me my card at her request. I go to go back to go in his office, he tells me to wait outside. He comes out again, I explain, how I am not getting the respect a customer should get. He says "I'm short staffed and going above and beyond" I tell him "You are conducting business and going no where near above and beyond". He calls me in the office about 30 minutes later and says he can do a wire, up to the amount of my cash deposits. I check my account upon leaving, my available funds were now gone. Upon chatting with the online team it was determined was on the phone with the FRAUD Department when he said he was "verifying that a wire would be able to be done". I was treated horribly here; treated as if I were a suspect the moment I walked in the door very casually dressed. This nonsense was done extremely close to COB on Friday which, of course usually results in the issue lasting the whole weekend. Before leaving I did offer constructive advice for Customer Service, which likely won't yield any results with Miguel Montes whom chose to chat with the Fraud Department. Whenever, I get this situation straightened out; I will definitely NOT deal with this branch nor Miguel Montes ever again. The other employees may be fine, but this was entirely unacceptable.

Jhonathan Montenegro1Thier lobby lady was rude and their teller were also rude and slow . When it was Bbva the wait was a few mins . Now it took me 35 mins just to cash a check ! Horrible bank , looking to cancel my account soon !

D K4I was here yesterday opening a business checking account. I dealt with Luissy. She was professional and worked with me on setting up my two different accounts and she was very understanding of what I was trying to accomplish. I'm very pleased and I hope that my continued experience with BBVA is as positive as the start has been. They don't get 5 stars because of their ATM. It kept denying my transaction when it would ask me to re-validate my PIN to authorize the transaction. There was nothing wrong with my PIN or my card because I drove down the street and it worked fine at another ATM.

Richard Hernandez1I went here was treated like I was lying and misinformed about my banking status then told to call customer service without even them trying to help figure out the situation I was dealing with terrible experience I thought this was a decent branch, no more bad management on there part, called customer service and they were Swift to help me and confirm I was in the right. I will like to say the bank tellers I feel are welcomeing and nice it was the shift management who treated me poorly quick to dismiss me.

Jianwen Liu1A few years ago we banked with BBVA at another branch in Houston and everything was fine. Earlier this year we opened a new account at this branch. 3 Months later I suddenly received an email telling me the account was forced to be closed. Upon multiple visits to the branch and phone calls to headquarter office, I was always told that they closed our account due to some missing documents. The funny thing was that nobody was ever able to tell me what documents were missing on our file. I think there are some operational issues within either this branch or the whole BBVA system. Just take you money to one of the larger national banks or a smaller local credit union.

Jackie Dagen1Horrible, horrible customer service. The phone reps hardly speak English or their accents are so thick you barely understand them. The branch manager named Levy cannot even close my account properly and now I find out he did not even close the account. I am now accruing charges. I call customer service. What a freaking joke. This rep named Pilar said nothing she could do said he did not close the acct. I gave him my card and checks he gave me the money that was in the acct and I left. Now I'm told I have to go back and speak to him. Like my time is not valuable and I am working until 6 pm. I am not paying any fees. This is outrageous.

badweetabix1Before Compass bank became BBVA Compass, the bank was just so-so with nothing particularly good or bad. But since becoming BBVA in 2007, everything has slowly and steadily gotten noticeably bad.I use to be able to just walk in and take look at their CD's and other savings account rates or look it up on the website. Now, I can't get a straight answer when I want to see the offerings. Every time I ask a question, it's replied with a question. They even turn the computer monitor away from me so I can't see what's on it. Instead of letting the customer be informed and make the decision, they try to maneuver you into what they want to sell. It's like being in a used car dealership. After all these years, I've given them a fair chance, so I'm pulling out and taking my money elsewhere.
