PNC Bank Reviews

Brian Culotta1After applying for a HELOC online, I received zero communication from PNC about the status of the application. I called and was told to just wait another week it will go through. In the process of waiting, this PNC branch calls me to check up on everything. I have my mortgage through PNC and this was just a courtesy call to make sure everything was ok. Eric, the man on the phone, asks how everything was and was very nice. I mentioned everything with my mortgage is fine but still waiting to find out whats going on with my HELOC. Eric could not find anything in their system and blamed it on it being a different system than what they use. I hang up. Call the same number I called earlier and long story short, my application is gone. My credit was ran, every document E-signed and turned in but the application just vanished. Awesome. Zero communication strike one. Lost application strike two. I call Eric back and he suggests we come into the branch to get it straightened out. We schedule to come in. I get time off work to make the appointment and show up on time. Eric meets with us and tells us he had double booked his calendar on mistake and with an attitude explains he must take care of an existing client. Strike 3. Eric was unable to schedule an appointment at all for the remaining of the day. It was early. Strike 4. BYE! I'll take my business elsewhere.

Kristen Dietrich1If I could give a zero star rating, I would. Was offered a credit card for which I agreed to open with the premise it was 6 months no interest on purchases (the sole reason I would need the card). Called PNC and it was sent to "escalation" department but after they talked to the girl that opened this account (who adamantly denied ever giving me this information) it was decided to be a "he said/she said" situation and chose not to believe I heard what I heard. I even stated I would be happy with 0% for less than 6 months, just enough to pay off the necessary purchases that were made under the impression that it was 0%. Awful customer service, mixed messages about what cards have/don't have promotional APRs, etc. Such a disappointment which may lead me to finding a new bank and alerting others of my distrust in this bank.

Grant Glasier5The service that I recieved from Eric Waldman was five star and beyond. He went out of his way to help me with my problem when he could have easily and understandably turned me away. He solved my problem in a very friendly and understanding manor. I would deffinatly recomned PNC. Thank You Eric!
