  Lack of communication, unprofessional, inexperienced. Although, my credit score was 735 they wanted a proof of 8 years of continuous pay when I yelled at them over the phone they reduced it to 3 then when I told them that I got a WAY BETTER OFFER than what they're offering, they denied the loan and in their statement they said credit Dealing with them was a headache, unrealistic documents, and good luck reaching out to them Complete waste of time

  This mortgage lender is horrible. Worst customer service, if you can ever get through to them. They handled my refinance and it was a mess. No communication what do ever. By the end of it, my original escrow money, which was supposed to be refunded to me, just disappeared. Be very careful if using this lender.

  For the most part this a really great mortgage company. They have always been easy to work with in almost every area. When I refinanced my house the process was super easy and was actually able to close a day or two sooner than expected. I would have gave them four maybe even five stars if I could have been able to set up biweekly payments with them, however due to their policy they make it difficult for customers to set up biweekly payments. They require prepayment of the current month plus the next month before you can set this payment system up. Do not think you will do this on your own either because they do not accept partial payments. They will put partial payments in an expense account for a few days if the rest is not received within xx amount of days they apply the partial payment to principal. Oh wait…the partial payment applied to principal doesn’t put you ahead on payments, so they can and will show you late. Learned this before it happened thank goodness. In my opinion they are one of the better big mortgage companies but they are still out for themselves. They have every advantage in place for PennyMac rather than the customer.

  Worst customer service ever! They are charging me 9,000 dollars a year for my property taxes that are 5,000.... they just paid them so they KNOW how much they are. When I asked them to look into it, sherry just responded back with they are confident that they paid them....... I didn't ask that! They are charging me a ridiculous amount of escrow and REFUSE to acknowledge it and fix it. They are clearly incompetent to do their jobs correctly. Pretty sad I am having to refinance my house to get out of this disaster. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

  I have been trying to Refinance my house since October with Penny Mac Loan Services. I have been with then for about 2 years and this has been the worst experience in my life. They still have not funded my loan as of today after all closing statements have been signed. The communication is horrible. They do not call you back nor do they give proper information. When contacting a Manager they do not care to resolve your issue or even talk to a customer to find out what the issues about the complaint. I do not recommend this company to do business. Beware and follow up every step of the way!!! The worst company ever.

  PennyMac made our refinance on our mortgage as easy and painless as possible. The process was very quick too! They keep you in the loop constantly and are quick to reply to any questions or concerns. I honestly can’t believe how easy it was and am glad I decided to go with them. Shout out to Nick and Emma! (Who we had throughout the process).

  Service of my previous loan through PennyMac was good. I decided to use them on a new mortgage and regretted it very quickly, especially the last week before closing. Seems that they modeled their business on D.C. Lost documents, wrong closing date despite repeated conversations, emails and documents. They had no communication within the company between the initial loan officer, the closing team, title and underwriters. If it were not for one individual who took his job seriously five families would have been screwed because of missed closing dates. It shouldn't require me to remind the mortgage company to do their job, calling every single day the last two weeks before closing and finding they still hadn't gotten things updated. Even then they royally screwed up the final closing documents. Definitely recommend terrorists, child molesters, and extremists use PennyMac--conditions them for the afterlife.

  We just got done with a refi. Even with the strange place we find ourselves in with stay-at-home orders, the process went as quickly as one in regular times. Questions were answered within a 24 hr period, and the notary they sent for all the closing documents was efficient and prompt.

  Their automated system is the worst I have ever experienced. If you try to use their over the phone method of payment make sure your phone is quiet and do not press any of the prompts incorrectly. It asks the same questions repeatedly and repeats the same information over which gets redundant. I have not had a successful month where I have only had to call one time and get it done correctly the first time. I have never felt so defeated trying to give somebody money to make a payment.
