Very good place with helpful staff fun they have been my primary bank for over 30 years. I miss Saturday hours but I'm still not banking elsewhere ,they always do me right.

Car loan through this credit union has been a hassle. Paid off vehicle early, so had extra monies owed to me. Closed account and they mailed check. Check got lost in mail, then they require stop payment form to be filled out AND notarized, which costs money. It's been 3 months and still haven't received title. Checked with DOT, they've no record of payment in full/release of title. Every time I call, whoever answers the phone has this millennial whiney voice as if they hate life and aren't there to serve their customer.

I banked with Peninsula for years. When they decided to shut down on Saturdays, I think it was very inconvenient for me to bank there. So I went in ine day and closed my account.... Still received statements and charges..... Called up and closed my account and received mire statements...... I finally received a letter( Notice of Adverse Action) They closed my account for poor checking...... I think that the employees should have followed through with their job in the first place and I should have never received this letter. Peninsula Credit Union is a very bad banking institution as far as I can tell you.

I've had an account since October, I haven't had any issues or complaints. Staff members are always very friendly. Kris set up my accounts, he was very polite and helpful. The only issues I've had, were setting up online banking and getting charged once for a paper statement when I signed up for e-statements. It was fixed promptly, though. I am happy with Peninsula CU and will continue to bank with them.

I've been banking here for over 20 years. I've always received excellent customer service and have always had any problems resolved quickly, professionally and with a great deal of courtesy. This is a very good place to have a bank account, I recommend Peninsula Federal Credit Union to anybody that would prefer a secure account.

      Response from the owner

Thank you for your kind words, we value all of our members and strive to make them feel the way you do. Have a great day Patrick!

Without going into detail on our vehicle issue, we needed emergency funding to repair a new business vehicle. We couldn't come up with the amount needed super fast so we contacted our branch. There were a few hoops and a few forms to jump through but thanks to Jin in belfair and Chris VP of Lending they rocked out a sweet deal on an unsecured loan to cover alllllll the expenses and take a massive financial burden off our shoulders . We do our personal and business banking with Peninsula and have never had any issues that made the radar .Thank you Peninsula Credit Union for taking care of your members, having amazing staff and caring managers...Members for life here....

      Response from the owner

Thank you Troy for your review and your business. We are glad we can help. We are just getting started on Google so please forgive the late response.

WARNING TO ALL PENINSULA CREDIT UNION MEMBERS!!! Found keys to safe deposit boxes at this branch. Individual answering phone not at all interested in finding the owner. She even denied that the bank had ever been named what was stated on the identification tag that had their address and phone number. Obviously this credit union not too interested in helping their members. Would have given no stars if that would register as a review.

      Response from the owner

Thank you for letting us know, we want you to know our members and their privacy is very important to us. We want to help return these keys to their rightful owner. If you would be so kind please call our local contact center again, and this time, ask to speak with the manager, she is aware of this situation and would like to hear directly from you about it, as well as do what she can to return the keys to the rightful owner. Our number is 800.426.1601 or 360.426.1601.

I own a small painting business and I attempted to deposit a check from a contractor that I was painting a home for. I needed to deposit the check into my account so I could purchase paint the next day to go complete the job. Amber at the front counter wanted to put a hold on my check, I told her there shouldn't be any holds on checks deposited into our business account, because Chris who set up our business account @ Peninsula CU told us that we can have access to the full amount of the check deposited immediately. Amber then went in to the Branch Managers office "Jennifer" the branch manager looked at our account and decided that she would release $500 of a $1250 check and put a 2 day hold on the rest of the funds. WHAT?!!! I need that money to buy $900 worth of paint. $500 will not work. I was told to take my business check to Heritage Bank so they could write me a cashiers check, THEN bring the cashiers check back to Peninsula THEN they would accept the check and release the full amount of $1250. I was charged $7 to have Heritage Bank write me a cashiers check to take to my own bank so they could deposit the check. HUGE HASSLE! I had to call my builder and try to explain why the house wasn't going to be painted by the time I had told him it would be. The builder was upset because he has a schedule with other sub-contractors that he has to try to rearrange now all because I couldn't get my money out of my own bank. It makes me look like a liar. Its hard enough being a small business owner in today's rough economy, I don't need a bank making my business harder. I hope that I don't loose this builders business because he feels like I am unreliable, when it is Peninsula Credit Union that is unreliable. Jennifer the branch manager at Peninsula Credit Union in Shelton, refunded the $7 dollars that Heritage Bank charged me for a cashiers check. Jennifer also said that "she has a open door policy" to her office. Well then, she should have pried her behind out of her chair and walked out of her "open door" ten steps out of her office to talk to a customer personally to see if there was any a problem instead of putting it on the shoulders of a inexperienced teller to deal with. I got a lot of "Im sorry" from the manager after I brought it to her attention that she was costing me business. Its sad to think that it all could have been avoided if the manager would have come out of her office in the first place to take care of a small business owners account concerns. This is why I do my personal banking with Our Community Credit Union down the road and I am considering moving my business account to OCCU as well.

Hello, I use to bank with Peninsula Credit Union and they were discriminatory tords me. Actually, Kris Kord is the main person who is this way. Everyone else is rude as well. I don't deserve this. I should feel safe with my bank. It's not right. I recommend you go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

I've been banking here for over 15 years and so far it's been a good and fair experience. I've only had a few issues and ,for the most part, people have been polite. I'm glad the branches keep growing, one in Olympia would be nice.

      Response from the owner

Thank you for reviewing us Leslie, we are just getting started on Google so I am sorry we took so long to respond. We are glad we can help you. Have a great new year!
