  Paul and his whole team have been amazing. From start to finish we were handled with respect, professionalize, and great care. I have bought two homes with Guild Mortgage and a Refi, I wouldn't use anyone else. If you want the process to be clean and thorough, then i recommend Guild Mortgage.

  UPDATE: Paul Johnson's team at CrossCountry Mortgage just handled my re-finance, saving me hundreds of dollars a month in my mortgage payment due to the lower interest rates. Just like my original review below, I cannot recommend them enough. They work at light speed, and Holly would send out Tuesday status emails explaining what's going on and whether you have any open actions they're needing. They make the process so easy, thanks to their professionalism! ---- This is my first real estate experience. I was advised by my local Redfin agent to try out Guild Mortgage (after I had already contacted some nationwide companies due solely to name recognition) and it was immediately clear this was good advice. Guild called my cell within hours of submitting for pre-approval, expertly assisted me and answered every question I had in a single phone call, and I was under contract with them before I got my first callback from the earlier nation-wide firms (over a week to get a call)! Their interest rate also beat the next competitor by 0.75%, which is significant on a home loan. The national interest rates had risen slightly between my estimate and rate lock-down, so Guild paid the point cost without me even asking them-- they just wanted to stay true to their interest rate estimate even if it cost them money. They have a system where every Tuesday, you receive a comprehensive progress email on the closing process, and it very clearly lays out any open actions remaining for you, and their due date. This made my first home buying experience much less stressful. I worked with Cindy, Karissa, and Paul throughout the process and getting a hold of them was a breeze-- they'd immediately answer their cells and I'd have an issue resolved within 5 minutes of grabbing my phone. This experience shares the top of the list of best customer service I've ever experienced, and it's especially impactful given the financial significance of home ownership. I scour Google for the review scores of restaurants, bars, movie theaters, auto shops etc. before visiting them, and rely on relevant and accurate reviews from past customers to make my life easier and less stressful-- nobody wants to get wrapped up in a debacle by an incompetent service provider, no matter what industry. I made a calendar reminder to sit down and write this review because I hoped it would help another intimidated first-time home buyer realize how simple the process can be if you're working with experts, and Guild didn't need to tell me that-- they proved it silently by doing their jobs and doing them well.

  Paul and his team are nothing short of AMAZING. They were very detailed, responsive and friendly too! They delivered on their promise to close on time even when I made a last minute decision that could have delayed the timing. I felt like they had my back during the entire stress-provoking process of buying my first home. I had met a few other lenders who were very slow to respond and made me feel like I was another number in a sea full of people. I would highly recommend Paul and his team to anyone looking to buy property in Seattle.

Not only were they able to quickly deliver they were also amazing at explaining every step of the process and kept us informed at all times.   I’m certain that we would not have the home we have today, if it weren’t for the hard working people over at guild mortgage. Paul and the Johnson team went above and beyond to make everything happen smoothly and as quickly as possible. The level of communication and dedication to my personal process of buying a home made me feel at ease. We were shopping for a home in a very competitive market where houses could literally be taken off the market in a matter of hours. When we found “the one”, everything seemed to just fall into place.   Paul's team works extremely fast and they have provided excellent customer service to me, better than any other business I've worked with. Because they were so responsive and were able to close within two weeks, my offer on a home won over another offer. Definitely would recommend them to anyone looking for a home in the still competitive market in Seattle!
