Decided to take my 2018 Impreza sport in for a oil change through their express service. When I arrived there was only 1 car in front of me. I thought okay it won’t take long then but was I wrong. It took almost 2 hours for the service person to come and tell me my car was ready. I could of done the oil change/inspection at my own shop and it would of been done in 15min. But for some dumb reason I decided to give subaru a try. Could of gotten everything done for $40 instead of $90. Never am I going again. If I could I would give 0 stars.

      Response from the owner

We shop the competition for price and features—-we're right on the money for a full synthetic oil change within Anchorage. We recognize there are some independent shops that may accept less but they're not offering Kaladi Bros. coffee, shuttle service, car washes, or any of the other convenience features. It's a trade off and we'd like to believe the reliability and convenience will win for most customers. We reviewed our records for how much time the oil change service took to complete. Using the signature time for work authorization (2:50pm) and the credit card receipt for payment (3:51pm), our system shows we were finished in one hour.

My whole family has Subaru's. From Outbacks, to Foresters, to my wife's 2015 XV, to my 2016 STi, each and every experience was a pleasant experience. Staffs are very friendly, helpful, and are all very willing to help. Would definitely recommend this dealer for their top notch customer service. Shout out to Ryan for helping us out on a few transactions and getting our paperwork done quickly and in time!

We went in three days in a row to buy an ascent. The first day they guy referred us to a mazda guy. The second day we were referred to a jerk and the third day we presented a reasonable offer 1,000 over another sates asking price and we were told no way. We walked across the street and hought a new pilot in less than an hour. Customer service at Subaru is horrible.

      Response from the owner

Thank you for your feedback. We'll follow up with our sales staff to be sure every customer's needs are fully addressed. Looks like we dropped the ball with you on Subaru but were able to offer the desired experience at our Honda store.

I am so confused at all of these bad reviews. My family has purchased a total of 8 Subaru's from Continental over the years and 3 were purchased from the same sales person! We've been more than thrilled with our sales and service experiences. The folks at Continental always seem to have the knowledge it takes to make a very comfortable car buying experience. My parents live outside of Anchorage with their Subaru and they are always accommodating and timely for them when they travel to town for service appointments. I've recently moved out of Alaska with my Subaru and while I have good service here in Memphis, I do miss Continental Subaru :)

The process of buying our 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek was fine. Typical car buying experience, and I got a fair price for a good car. BUT: their service department is crooked, and this seems to be typical for all Continental Auto Group shops. My wife took her car in for its first oil change at 5500 miles. Recommended at 7500 miles, but we were getting ready to leave on a 2500 mile road trip. They tried to tell her she needed $650 worth of service! The only thing Subaru recommends at this interval is an oil change, so everything they tried to sell her was totally made up. Beware, and take your car somewhere else. I had a similar experience with the 30k service across the street at Continental Nissan, and I'm seeing similar complaints in other online reviews. This was not a fluke incident, but part of a pattern.

      Response from the owner

Thank you for the information about your experience. The manufacturer interval service is required for maintaining warranty coverage. Considering the accelerated rate of component wear due to weather, smoke, low quality fuels and other factors it is important consumers be aware of additional maintenance procedures that are available should they identify with any of the conditions. In many cases, these may appear superfluous to the consumer who does not have the need—they are available nonetheless.

I got a Subaru 2015 there services are a joke they sell u stuff u don't need and don't fix the problems and causes more problems. Dont by Subarus there the people don't know what there are doing never going back.

      Response from the owner

With all due respect, this is not how we conduct business. The full-circle report card shows the status of the vehicle and recommended upcoming services that may be needed—brakes, hoses, tune-up, battery. It is not an obligation to complete the work only to alert owners of upcoming needs.

Absolutely disappointed. I've been to several Subaru dealerships (Oklahoma, Texas & Colorado) and have been treated wonderfully each time. That's part of the reason why I went with a Subaru versus another car manufacturer. I recently moved up to JBER , Anchorage AK and this is the only dealership in the area. I stopped in to get my vehicle expressed checked during my lunch break (around 1pm). I was informed that the shuttle service ends at 4pm, and there were several cars ahead of me, which is completely fine. I have work until 5pm, surely my car will be done by then, or sooner. I went back to work, and waited for Continental to call me let me know my Subaru was done, or that they were checking it out now. Nothing. Finally five o'clock rolls around, I get off work, and call the dealership. Only to be informed that my crosstrek hasn't even been looked at. Now I'm mad. It's been there for a 4 hours and hasn't even been looked at. The girl on the phone said "let me check something," and then the line disconnected. She never called back. After figuring out a ride over, which was completely inconvenient, having to pay for an Uber. (At this point I’m mad because I’m wasting my mmoney on something that could be completely avoidable) I arrived to find my vehicle sitting on the curbside. I walked in only to be greeted by a lady who had no clue. She at first seemed put off that I was even asking her about my vehicle at first. Grant it, she was the receptionist. Turns out my vehicle was ready at 1:30pm. Nobody ever called to let me know. No one did a review or summary of the vehicle (which at other Subaru dealerships they’ve typically done). The receptionist said she'd talk to Michelle and let her know, and that she was so sorry. The receptionist was the only person to ever apologize to me about this experience. It’s been almost a week and I still have not heard from the dealership. This “Michelle” person has never called. I haven't even received my email asking to review/survey my experience at this Subaru dealership. This is not the culture of Subaru I bought into. I'm just sad that I'll have to spend my next few years going to this dealership, since it's the only one in the area and they absolutely have the worst customer service. Subaru is better than this, and is being poorly repersented out here in Anchorage. Not only was the experience bad, but the lobby was dirty as well. I’ve written this in hopes that you’ll correct the problem. The problem being such a poorly ran Subaru Dealership. This experience made me question buying a Subaru. As I stated earlier, I bought into Subaru for the culture.

I had an amazing experience at Continental Suburb, I couldn’t be happier with my new car. The sales man, Mike Polak, listened to me when I explained what I wanted, showed me my options and helped me thru the process. He did all that in 2 hours! I will highly recommend Continental to everyone. Just want to add a comment about Alex Nauman who did an excellent job of going over my car’s features with me. Answered all my questions, took time to explain everything and made sure I was comfortable with my car. He’s a great asset to Continental. Thanks Alex.

Purchased my first new car here. Sales man was very helpful and nice getting me the vehicle I wanted and helped get me financing so I could drive it home that day. Brought it back to get autostart installed 13 days later (worked for my schedule, they were ready to put it in a few days after purchase but I wasn’t available) and I expected it was going to take a while so I was going to hangout at the dealership. I was pleasantly surprised to see they have a caffe/ bakery inside the dealership that serves everything from coffee to soups and bread. While I was waiting I had a guy stop what he was doing and came over to me to ask my name so he could go get me an update on my car. Very courteous and helpful staff.

I spoke with Bruce and he's a very nice guy, but he was a little pushy. When I arrived at the lot, he was right at my car door and didn't really give me a buffer zone. He didn't give me a chance to exit and lock my car before greeting me. He needs to work on those interpersonal people skills, but otherwise he's a very nice guy and in the future if he fixed those issues I wouldn't have any problem with buying from him.

      Response from the owner

That is not how we'd prefer customers to be treated. We'll discuss the boundary matter with our sales staff to be sure comfort zones are maintained. Thanks for brining it to our attention.
