  This place is an absolute joke. So I’ll take time out of my day to make sure you take the drive elsewhere. There’s no confusion as to why they have 2.5 stars at the time I’m writing this. They don’t care about serving the community they’re in. They’re the worst on every level & if I could give 0 I would do that instead. They could have had a new long time customer from me, could have had a complete opposite experience from me, a complete opposite review from me would have been posted right now but instead I’m going to tell you, coming from a person who writes dozens of positive reviews & rarely takes the time to write a negative one: TAKE THE RIDE ELSEWHERE. This place needs to be shut down so a more deserving company can move in who actually provides a pleasant experience to the community they serve. No wonder theres no line on Friday evening 😬

  They tried charging me 170 dollars for a copy for my registration that doesn’t expire for 6 months. Very rude ! I went to the dmv in Schaumburg to ask for the same thing a copy was 3.00 dollars. Save your money

  I recently purchased a car and needed the title and plates changed to my name. The DMV in Lake Zurich had a line too long to even consider standing in so I headed to the currency exchange and Mike helped me. I was in and out in ten minutes. He was so friendly, professional and helpful. I recommend this place to everyone, Mike was great.

  Beware... to get IL license plates for a car licensed out of state will cost 600 here, get DMV info first. State charges 300 at DMV and you don't need the title, only the loan agreement and registration. Use Lake Zurich.

  Lady working is extremely rude and no customer service skills, truly must hate her job. She wanted to charge me over $600 for registration of new car i purchased, said no way and walked away. DMV charged me $200. Reporting to BBB. Beware of visiting this place, scammers wanting to take your money.

  Do not register your car here! He is charging $500+ for it He said to wait for the titles they will arrive in my mail in 1-2 weeks. After 2 months of waiting I called them to ask where my titles are, they said is at their location I can pick them up anytime. Aw thank you for your services! I'd like to give you a "zero" not 1 star

  Did 1 star because there's no option for ZERO. Went to the Lake Zurich location where I live to get a Title Transfer and Plates for a 2016 Scooter. Pretty Basic stuff, right? If it's under 150cc's it's got it's own motorcycle plate. If it's over 150cc's it's a standard motorcycle plate. Mine is a Very Common 50cc Scooter. 100,000's of these all over. They don't know what the plate is, say there is no such plate on the IL Secy. of State Website! Would not let me tell her where it is on the website, showed her it on my phone and she still gave me flack. Took my Title and went to this Palatine location Bigger Mistake!!! Woman at the window was doing her nails and finally looked up. Told her what I needed and gave her the Title and Bill of Sale and just asked to confirm that she was doing the 150cc and under plate because they couldn't at the Lake Zurich store. Now she puts my paperwork down and she's calling someone while I'm standing there. I ask her "You can do this, right"? and she says she's calling Lake Zurich to find out "what went wrong"!!! I asked her if she could do my transaction and call their later, she then said loudly and angry "now I see You're the Problem, Get Out"!!! She slams down the window she was at, opened the one next to it and sai9d ":Can I Help You"? Go to the IL Secy. of Sate website, get it right and cut out these Pirates. She should be Fired!!!

  My husband and I recently visited this location after we purchased a used boat with trailer. We wanted transfer the trailer title and get plates and register the boat with DNR. On original visit we spent 45 minutes and left with some paperwork. 5 days later we received a call saying the paperwork wasn't done correctly and we would have to return and pay another 50% more. Why did it take 5 days for someone to go over the paperwork??? Who knows. We returned and spent another 30 minutes having to correct her math at one point. Finally upon leaving we asked for our "bill of sale" back and she said she didn't have it! I wouldn't leave until she did locate it (right next to her work station). While we were waiting around we saw at least one very dissatisfied customer leave saying she was heading to the back for a notary. I would NEVER set foot in that place again

  Extremely friendly and helpful. I went in to get my IL plate sticker. There was a "pending" notice on my plate. Mike made a call to the secretary of state, while I was there, got the situation straightened out and I left with my sticker in under 10 min! Thanks again, Mike, you really made my day!

  It's been more than 6 wks and I still haven't received my license plates. My temp is expired. All the lady told me is to drive incognito till they arrive without any further information
