  Scam of a place they ask for bank statements pay stub you send it to them and they want your bank account user name and password fraud they wanna steal your identity stay away from them

  OneMain Financial is aware of an External Advance Fee Scam in which fraudsters are using OneMain Financials’ (OMF) name in their fraudulent loan offers. The scam uses OneMain Financial’s name, logo, and at times branch contact information as part of the scheme. The scammers can exploit the victim’s phone, text and email accounts with wording and/or documents posing as OneMain Financial representatives. OneMain Financial representatives: • Do Not request payment of fees upfront and will never ask you to purchase or place money on debit or gift cards (e.g. Google Play cards). • Do Not ask for your user name or password from your Financial Institution. • Do Not put money in your Financial Institution’s Bank account for you to return the payment to them. • Do Not use Gmail addresses. Look at the email address. If it ends in gmail.com it is not from OneMain Financial. If you have been involved in or have been a victim of an External Advance Fee Scam, we recommend that you take these necessary steps to protect your information and prevent potential financial loss: 1. Stop all contact with fraudsters. Do not speak to them anymore. Do not give them information or send money, gift cards and/or insurance cards. 2. If you have given the scammers your personal Bank information (account, PIN, credit card numbers, etc.) please contact the issuing Financial Institution and advise of what occurred and ask on what action you need to take. 3. You should also consider contacting the credit reporting agencies (Experian, Transunion & Equifax) to place an Extended Fraud Alert with your phone# and/or freeze your credit report. 1. Equifax - 800.525.6285 or www.equifax.com 2. Experian - 888.397.3742 or www.experian.com 3. TransUnion - 800.680.7289 or www.transunion.com 4. You can contact the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at www.ftc.gov or 877-438-4338 to report this incident. The FTC may ask for the fraudster’s contact information. 5. You can contact the Federal Bureau of Investigation Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at www.ic3.gov to report this incident. -AS

  I actually went to your branch in Palmdale, Ca to obtain a $23,000 loan for purchase a used motor home. The motor home was to be used as my primary residence as I traveled around the state of California and the country retrofitting gas lines for our country's infrastructure. I was told that...I did not have enough disposable cash. My rent is $1,300.00...that I have paid religiously on time for over 10 years without delay or concession. You should reward loyalty. I have been doing business with OneMain... for three years, each year that I decided to increase my loan, the percentage interest has increased...from- 14% for $9,000.00 to 25% for $4,000.00 that I accepted as "the best we could do for you Gene consolation" a few days ago. I paid my bill on time everytime and without delay. Are you. Trying to make me default by charging me higher interest? Or, are you just trying to keep me down by making certain that I do not have any disposable cash? I only require a little to live on.... I feel like I am being treated like a criminal. I have been an outstanding customer. I will continue to pay my bill on time. However, if the opportunity arrives, I will pay this loan off and never do business with you again. Thank you for reading!   Staff is rude. This is not "historical" as stated below. This is as of a few interactions in the last 2 weeks. They are so difficult to deal with, its ridiculous. Zero customer service skills.

  I've used One Main before at a different location. I am pleased to say my experience this time is " I. Am Very Pleased with the staff and I have much respect for Maria. Yes the interest is high At First, but they goal is to help rebuild your credit so a few months later you can refi and a drastically lower rate and the added bonus is a better score. Win win😀. The goal is not to take your money, but get you to a place where you actually build your credit. And you have to pay something heck my own cu wouldnt give me loan I needed the money so no one is giving it away. But they allow the oppurtunity to turn it around in my favor. They let me know exactly why my score had gone down and most of it has to do with mismanagement of my financial instution
