  We went through Old Hickory when we got our new vehicle financed due to trying to build up our credit. We have been with them a year and have paid the loan payments early and on time. Even got a holiday loan with them and have paid it early and on time and have it down to almost $300 from $1k. My husband called last week about doing a signature loan for some debt consolidation (a small loan that we could pay the small holiday loan off with and some other bills), only to be turned down however, it took the gentlemen a week to even get back to my husband to even let him know he wasn’t even going to approve the loan. We have never, NEVER, been turned down with this EXACT same process through our own credit Union, Heritage South, whom we have been with for over 10 years. The issue is not so much being turned down, but the time it took getting back to us altogether. Needless to say, lesson learned.

  Absolutely wonderful to work with! Called in a few minutes before closing, not planned- that’s just how timing fell, and Jammie is who I talked with, told her what we needed done, she stayed over and took care of us! Never once was ugly or hateful for having to stay over to get us taken care of. We are very happy with our experience and will continue business with them in the future! We prefer a more “hometown” bank feel vs the commercial big bank feel from many others, my husband prefers to walk in or drive up to a bank and they know who he is vs someone different everytime you’re there and they don’t have any idea who you are except what they see in a computer screen!

  Great bank, great staff! Have been banking with OHCU for years and never had an issue. I love the small town bank feel. I know the employees names and they know mine. When my wallet was stolen they were quick to assist getting me through the process of changing things to prevent fraud. From new account numbers to new check books!

  Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at any financial institution anywhere. Went in for small loan with debt consolidation in mind and since I had just moved to Tennessee and looking for a place to live. Went through entire application process and told we should be good to go and then told branch manager refused application. My credit was excellent. I was told they would make it work for me and I would receive a call next morning. No one called me back. I called to speak with supervisor next day and left phone message and no one would call me back. These people are not whom I would want handling any of my affairs and I would steer as far away from old hickory credit union as possible. Pathetic service

  The worst. Started a car loan here twice, same woman who started it was out of the office the day of signing. The woman in the drive thru window is not nice at all. Arrived in the drive thru and she literally closed the shades as the front of my car was pulling in. I do not think I have ever been so frustrated with a bank!

  I applied for a Camper on tuesday with a hefty down payment. I was APPROVED shortly after submitting my loan. On Wednesday I was told I was denied after I had already been approved!! And told to come down and sign papers after sitting there for forty-five minutes was told no

  Called in advance and they said they could help me with my I-9. Got there and they refused to help. Found another notary somewhere else that knew what they were doing. I don't blame them for not doing something they weren't comfortable with but it is a bit annoying to be told one thing and have wasted time because of it.

  They have been good to keep everytime I have needed some they have been there to help me and i my family have accounts there and they've been helpful and great group of women that work there as well
