Ohio's First Class Credit Union Reviews

Bruce On Location5I would rate the bank with a 9 only because I was on the property. I was welcomed by the security, there were three tellers assisting with one customer service person in the front. I really didn't know what to expect once I entered the bank. I'm not a fan of the phone service they provide but once there everyone was professional. Thanks to DeeDee and Lisa for their personal attention. For such a positive experience I will transfer money from my Chase account to the credit union.

Sam Kasper1This is the absolute WORST bank I've ever had to deal with. They are terrible at everything they do. I paid off a loan early just so I didn't have to deal with them any longer, and then they continued to take out automatic payments. I highly recommend you go elsewhere for your financial options, this place is TERRIBLE. I'd give 0 out of 5 stars if I could.

Mike Musk1Financed a vehicle through this credit union. First, I would like to start off that I work in the automotive and finance industry. They provided an excellent rate, and that's why I chose them. There have been MANY customer service issues. From setting up electronic payments, to insurance issues. I know just as well as anyone else in the business that if you are to finance a vehicle, you need to have full coverage insurance prior to taking the vehicle home for delivery. You also need documentation for proof of insurance to give to the dealer before you can take delivery of your automobile/motorcycle. Having given the proof of insurance to the dealer and being on my merry way I received a letter from 1st class credit union 2 months later in regards to not having insurance. Not only did they inform me of their miscommunication with the dealer, BUT THEY ALSO CHARGED ME $402 for not having insurance when I really did. The second problem was setting up electronic payments. I called multiple times to be transferred back and forth from several departments. It took 2 WEEKS to finally process my payment! (Come on guys I was basically begging you to take my money!!!) Overall, I highly recommend NOONE TO FINANCE WITH THIS CREDIT UNION! You will have nothing, but unresolved problems! Skip the headache and shop your rate elsewhere!

Ryan S5I was paying my car note there for the first time, and I found an EXTREMELY long line. I was a bit taken off guard, and almost decided to turn around. I am glad I didn't though because the staff here is extremely knowledgeable and fast. The wait was somewhere between 5-10 minutes (probably about 7). Even with the fast service, the girl who attended to me was very nice and conversational. She was a college student and displayed interest in me as a person, something all cashiers should do.

Juanita Torres1Can I give negative stars? I had to call multiple times when making large payments on things such as the time I bought my furniture and needed an increase on my transaction limit. It was so embarassing to explain to the cashier that Im getting declined because my bank wouldnt let me use my money. Second time, when I put my down payment on my car, the transaction declined 7 times even after I asked for an increase (after several failed attempts at reaching anyone). She put the increase on the wrong card (joint account), then said the increase had a time limit, etc. It was again extremely embarassing. Teller 24 automated services are either always busy or it just rings and rings. Online banking is a joke as we have been locked out of our account FOR MONTHS. It keeps saying wrong password (its not on my end) and then when they reset it, it still doesn't work. And lastly, we went out of state and never once was contacted about purchase verification. I go a couple cities over and buy gas and they block my account and call asking us to verify the purchase. Banked here for 7 years out of extreme stupidity as they have even denied me a small personal loan (and my credit is fair). This place is a joke and they arent even open on Saturdays.

Karmen Clay1My issue is with ROBER the supervisor over the loan department. he is very unprofessional my first incident with him was I was trying to get a loan Credit card. Now Rober is the person that finalize sign and all the loans from the Credit union. So I walked in the building and him in another loan offers were having a conversation about me that talking bad about my credit and how I shouldn’t get the loan. with the door open laughing very loud and didn’t know I was sitting in the lobby. Now that I’m trying to get a things happen loan. He’s giving me another problem basically he saying it will take me 7 to 10 business day to receive the loan when my mother and my husband went in and did the same loan and got it process the same day. awesome let me remind you I didn’t get the same loan almost 5 years. And I get the opportunity to leave this bank I am

P. Christie5I moved out of state to Arizona and I had ATM issues and Anita Caldwell and others who working at Ohio's First Class Credit Union worked hard at handling the business for me. I been a member here for 15 plus years and didn not know that I could travel or move out of town and basically walk into another credit union where they do "Shared Branch Services" and access funds in my personal account. 5 Stars on that as well. You guys should highlight that more. That's amazing :) As far as callbacks... their call backs are timely and in the several cases where I expected a call back and didn't receive one the sincere apology was measured and met well beyond the banking expectations... apology totally accepted you guys "5 Stars" on that as well :) So from here in AZ I'm able to access my account with no problems. What matters to me is all that matters to me. I'm good. It's just hot here y'all :)

Ms. T.1Prior to 2/22/2018, OFCCU deposited your direct deposit funds a day before the pay date. So, if you got paid on the 15th, and the 15th was a weekday, you would receive your direct deposit funds on the 14th. If the 15th fell on a Sunday, you would receive your funds on Friday or Saturday prior, but not later than that Saturday. Now, after 2/22/2018, OFCCU installed a new software that does NOT make early deposits. So now, if you get paid on the 15th and the 15th is a Saturday or a Sunday, you will have to wait until the following Monday before you can have access to your money. If Monday is a holiday, well too bad for you! You will now have to wait until the following Tuesday before you get access to your money. Also, if you get paid any time on a weekday, your funds will not be deposited into your account before 7 a.m., when someone arrives in the office to "push the button." My experience was that my funds had not been deposited until 8 or 9 a.m. Completely Unacceptable!! I loved OFCCU prior to installing this archaic software. The only entity benefitting from this new software is OFCCU. They get to hold confirmed direct deposits and accrue interest from OUR money to OUR detriment. Well, it looks like it's time to say farewell for me. If you don't mind delayed direct deposits because they fall on a Saturday, Sunday or a holiday, then by all means - STAY or GET AN ACCOUNT! However, if you need your money to be timely accessible and available to you - LEAVE AND GO ELSEWHERE, AVOID AT ALL COSTS, or ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

Donna Mason5Love this bank because they take the time to care for u and your family. They educate u about your financial stability. If u communicate with them they reach out to u and give u the very best advice. I've been a member for 20 years.

Dave Hertvik1Awful. No one answers the phone. Acura placed my auto loan through them and after the loan was paid in full they continued to draft the monthly payment from my checking account.
