      In 2014, I went to the process to apply for a mortgage loan. I was approved for the loan and went ahead and picked out a house and made an offer. OASFCU kept asking me for more information even after the loan had been approved and I continued to answer their questions and provide documents. My credit score was high. I made great money, and had enough for the down payment. 2 weeks before closing, the loan officer stopped answering my emails. I had already moved out of my apartment, sold all my things, and anticipated moving in to my new house a week later when I got an email saying that they'd changed their mind and wouldn't be providing me with the mortgage loan A WEEK BEFORE Closing. They said it was because I was working on a contract (which was longterm and it's the way most people at international orgs like OAS work so they are familiar with the terms).
