  They have always been more than fair with me, and you can even make offers on the items they sell. I have bought and sold with them for several years and have seen interactions with other customers as well, everyone seems to leave happy.

  Went in with a white friend. Ignored me and went straight to my friend who walked in just a few seconds after me. I was looking at a TV that I thought was priced okay. Noone ever made contact or said may I help you. It's not for black people.

  Very unprofessional and snobbish acting if thats a word. Do not offer fair prices and please do not take a laptop or anything similar, they will go through all your private photos and anything saved on it. You have been warned. Prices are not reasonable, them being more close to store prices. I would not take my dog in their. If you are in a pinch and need a small loan I suggest overdraft or going to a better pawn shop in Richmond. Just know this is a REVIEW or POST of my experience. This is a warning. Just know that since a business been around 25 years don't make them a good business. They just in the right location!

  Not a review but testimony. I have worked at this location for 17 years. the interest rate first off is set by the state we do not have control over that the state dictates the interest charged. $100 loan for 30 days with only a $13 interest is a pretty good deal. It doesn't go against your credit you're not recommended to come back to get it if you don't want it. If you need more time and would like to keep the property you pay the $13 per month to hold it before the end of the 30 day It's( a short-term loan) based on item at hand we cannot take all said items we will do the best we can within reason of course. Jewelry itself is very expensive when it comes to retail purchasing. I always tell everybody do yourself a favor always check pawn shops you'll realize how much money you could have saved.. example I have purchased a man's diamond .40 solitaire ring in a 10 karat gold band for $210.. in the store because yes I am an employee got a discount was $249 the retail that ring would have cost you five hundred plus. Please in closing nobody can make your decision for you please Come and experience yourself

  I noticed that they are happier selling you an (over-priced) item than they are to buy something from you. Even though my jewelry had real diamonds in it and I paid a good deal of money on them, they were sterling silver and not considered “real” jewelry.

  We specialize in used, professionally polished and cleaned, gold jewelry. Other than Pandora bracelets, we don't pawn or purchase silver jewelry.

  I have been using Oaklawn Pawn for ever 20 years. I have found that the gentlemen in there, are fair and consistent. I don't feel like I'm getting conned, nor do I feel like I have to worry about not getting a fair amount for my item. This shop is 45 minutes from my house, and I will always use them. They have never tried to get over on me. Bottom line is this, I go in there knowing that I need a loan. I am agreeing to pay their interest rate and terms. I know this going in there. I don't have ridiculous predictions on how much they will give me. They know their trade, and are very good at keeping people happy. I don't carry a tablet in with a Crack in it hoping to get $300. If you wouldn't sell it to yourself in that condition, don't expect someone to give you a dime for it. Great place to do business.

  I bought a morgan silver dollar from them it was listed at one price and he lowered it that's great customer service. I finally got a chance to have it checked out it was fake. Had a little hassle because I lost my receipt but he gave me a full refund. They have great customer service. I have no problem doing business with them again.

  I have to do at least 1 star, so they get that. I can only speak on my personally experience. After reading the reviews and doing some checking on this pawn store. I still went in because to each is their own. I will say that the individual that assistant me. I call him D for dealer. His greed may be do to the advantage of the desperate he is use to manipulating. I'm glad with how the loan I needed urgently, I didn't allow ignorance to control my decision. No was possible should a loan b 30 percent of the resale value if I didn't return for my items. But if accepted, now let's add the interest added to my loan. To each their own, but I would advise all to inquire on various options before executing. This is just my personal opinion, on solely my experience with the business.   By far the best pawn shop in the tri-cities area. Been a customer for close to 15 years and never had any problems. Always treated with respect. If your looking to sale your gold, noone will beat their offer. They offer a grace period and work with you. Yes, as with any business, they want to make money, but they don't rob clients to do so.
