  Used Oak Leaf for an investment property last month. 36 hours prior to closing received a call that the underwriter did not like the appraisal from their contracted licensed appraiser even though it appraised well over purchase price. They then stated there was another loan option available. This was frustrating because I specifically ask what my options were when we locked in rates a month prior and no other options were given. So 36 hours prior to closing we had to lock into a new higher rate along with more fees than original loan. Would definitely not use them again.

  Oak Leaf Community Mortgage helped me move into the home of my dreams. As an independent contractor it was difficult to get approved for a mortgage. The team at Oak Leaf worked with me and guided me to get approved. Oak Leaf also helped me refinance and save over $200 a month on my mortgage.   We purchased our first house in February 2020 with the support of Joe LaGiglia and Oak Leaf Communy Mortgage. They made the process a breeze and explained basically every line entry of every document to me since I'm a bit neurotic with finances! We checked with a variety of lenders and Oak Leaf came in with the lowest rate -- there was no need to shop around or bargain for a lower price. It's now December 2020 and with mortgage prices coming down further, Oak Leaf was ready to work with us to refinance less than a year after buying our house. It took less than one hour TOTAL of my time to gather the documents and sign everything. Joe's team was efficient and kind the whole way. The prices continued to be unbeatable as well -- the refinance will save 10% of our monthly mortgage payments and will take only 3 months before we come out ahead. Sincere thank you to the Oak Leaf team!!

  I recently refinanced with Joseph LaGiglia at Oak Leaf and could not be happy with the process. I was told, upfront, the time to refinance was extended due to the low rates prompting many to refinance. He offered a solid rate and locked it in after initial paperwork was completed. I received multiple phone calls from members of the team to update me on the process. A small, but communicated snag, was hit and my closing was pushed back one week. Joe was empathic on the process as he walked me through the final days until close. At close, I asked the title company about the rate and was told, "That is a good rate for a 15 year, and you are at a 30!" Communication is vital, and the team at Oak Leaf was beyond my expectations. If rates ever go this low again, I will call. I recommended Joe/Oak Leaf to my friends and family.

  Stay away from this company. I submitted the application with them a month ago, they never answer phone calls and when they do call back, they play the blaming game such as "my phone wasn't working" etc. I felt like I was dealing with teenagers and in the end they were not able to help me with my requirements with a response that said "We don't offer those services" when in turn that was my first question to them on my initial call. Oak Leaf Mortgage is very unprofessional and I will I could give them zero stars.
