  i do NOT recommend this bank at all . compared to other banks , numark gives off an under developed vibe and the technology sucks . the app is super confusing and out dated , you can’t instant transfer money from bank to bank and on top of it the ATM doesn’t accept cash ….. i had my car insurance bill to pay and didn’t have the money in my account yet , i sometimes get paid cash so i would then have to deposit the money myself . I received my paycheck saturday night . but , Numark closes at 6 and like i said the atm doesn’t take cash . but with it being a holiday this monday i can’t deposit the money until TUESDAY !!! The car bill was due sunday after noon , now i’m at risk of my insurance cancelling me and my account t drawing negative all because numark is not flexible or updated at all . like i said i would not reccomend to anyone there are plenty of better banks out there . plus the staff is slow , and not very friendly . especially this one lady that works behind the counter , she never ever wears the face mask correctly it’s always hanging off her chin and she coughs constantly. i can’t believe what a mess this place is

Weekends and federal holidays can be tricky when depositing funds. Depositing cash at an ATM can actually delay the availability of your funds further, so we highly recommend depositing at a NuMark location or at one of our over 5,600 shared branching locations.   I made a very large deposit to Numark and made it very clear to them that I needed my funds immediately, for there is usually a 10 day hold on all large check deposits. Obviously not a normal situation, if I didn’t have the funds immediately, I would lose out on a piece of equipment for my business. They went way out of their way to verify that the funds I deposited were legitimate in order to release the fund’s deposited the same day. This would not happen with an ordinary bank. I am transitioning all of my savings, personal, and business funds to Numark because they genuinely understood my situation and did everything in their power to make my requests happen. Top knotch service at the New lenox branch. Highly recommend.

  I have been a member of NuMark/North Star for a number of years. Their service is always first rate, but on a recent transaction, the financial service rep in the New Lenox office was very pleasant to work with and made everything simple and easy. The way they have you sign documents online is very cool. Finally, their rates on loans are always lower than anywhere else!

  Was a NuMark member for years, first when I lived in Joliet, and then later in New Lenox. Numark never charged me any fees for any service I needed. Everyone at the branch was extremely kind and helpful. I could get in and out quickly and efficiently. Even after I left, I had made a mistake and charged my NuMark account for a bill that I didn't have the money in that account to pay. I hadn't checked the account in months, and was overdrawn without knowing it. Numark called me to tell me what was going on, and gave me extra time to close the account so it wouldn't go to collections or be a strike against me. They even wrote me a letter thanking me for the years of service! I loved this place, and miss them.

  The interest on our manufactured home is double compared to other mortgage companies .For such a small loan and we put a down payment on our place it’s ridiculous the interest I am paying and I had a good credit score . I would not recommend this company and I may seek a loan with another sender. Robert Stanko Frankfort Illinois

  I walked into Numark Credit Union in New Lenox yesterday a little afraid that I was going to be laughed out of there. You see, I was hoping to open a loan for a significant amount of money but my income is irregular due to being self-employed. To my delight, I was treated with nothing but kindness and respect by everyone there. The teller had me speak with Maria, who I believe is a personal banker there, and she walked me through the options I had for borrowing. We crunched some numbers and, though it didn't seem like I would qualify yesterday, Maria gave me some advice on next steps for me to legitimize my business and get closer to approval for a loan. She then helped me set up a membership at Numark, which I was very excited about. I love the idea of my money staying within the credit union and the community instead of it being twisted and transferred around between megabanks making some fat cats a couple extra pennies. But I digress... I followed Maria's advice and was back today to set up a business account, which was a breeze. I worked with Maria again and she was awesome again. I can't say enough nice things about her and Numark. They've restored my faith in finance.

  I had some confusion with how my account was setup and was very frustrated. I talked to Karen Huston, at the New Lenox location, and she walked me through everything giving me a better understanding. She even worked with me to fix the account to fit me better personally! I have Chase as another account and never get this kind of customer service.

  I recently opened an account with Numark. I worked with Symone, she was very professional and helpful. If you go to Numark ask for her, she is GREAT!!
