grace gudenkauf3I sent an email and got an auto reply saying that they would get back to me in 3-5 business days. After almost a month and multiple emails, still no reply. I usually have better luck on the phone but when I called about this specific matter the agent told me I had to make my request in writing.

Daniel Sorek1Horrible experience with a recent refi in early October 2020. We were told the closing would be no more than 30 minutes, and we should have known better since our previous refi experience was lackluster and took almost 2 hours. We expressed how limited our time was (wife works in public health emergency response during global pandemic) and the importance to get all the paperwork ready by the time we arrived. We arrived 10 minutes early and the paperwork was not ready for at least 20 minutes after our scheduled appointment. I know it doesn't sound like much, but when the paperwork came through, it was WRONG and no one could explain the problems other than to say it was wrong and they were sorry and it would be fixed (still not fixed). Further, after confirming with them (multiple times) that our October payment on our previous loan would not be made, they didn't stop the payment and it was made anyways which further made the incorrect closing documents even MORE messed up. No communication with David Kuiper or anyone at Northpointe for over 2 weeks now after we requested follow up multiple times (email, voice messages and communication through the title company) for a response. Sorry, we did get an out of office response from both David and Lauren that said they were on vacation which was a dagger since my wife hasn't had a single day off (not even Saturdays and Sundays) since early March 2020. We understand people being busy, but not at the expense of our wallet or a lack of communication and customer service. We also got a nice handwritten thank you note for doing business with them. Again, not enough. We still have not had our overpayment corrected or new paperwork showing what our new payments will be. We should have pulled out and left which would have taken more time to complete and a new visit, but we were looking trying to take advantage of good rates before they expired and to make a deposit on home improvements to get the work scheduled with extremely busy contractors. Twice now our refi has not gone well with them and this will certainly be our last ever business with Northpointe. Every payment for the next 15 years (or until we can refi with another bank) will be a reminder of these awful experiences.

Blair Smith1Very unhappy with them. They emailed us to let us know we needed to pay a one time payment for escrow so our payment wouldn't go up. We paid it and the payment still went up. We pay 3 to 4 weeks before our payments are even due and get late fees. Trying to call them is impossible no one answers and the voicemail says to text them. This place is shaddy!
