  I reached out to this firm initially when I opened my dental office in 2019. I met with Wes Harmon who told me everything that they do and they they can work with dentists, so I signed on. After receiving zero help for my startup I moved elsewhere. I came back several months later after the firm I moved to left the state. I explained to Wes what my needs and wants were, which was a monthly meeting discussing the financials of my office and how to run my office efficiently- you know basic accounting stuff. Initially we had a few meetings and I was never told anything other than, "You're doing better than last month. Let me know if you have questions." A budget was never made and no real info was given. COVID hit and I got ZERO council navigating that; I believe I am the only business in existence that did not get any PPP money. After a while Wes would set up a call and either be 30+ minutes late or cancel at the last minute. When I reached out to another accountant at the firm asking to work with someone else I was told, "We don't compete with one another, you should work it out with Wes." I never signed on to work with anyone specific and if they aren't meeting my needs a good business would make it right! Wes sent me an email stating that "I have reached out several times." There were ZERO emails from him and in six months I received TWO calls from the firm regarding invoices. A new business needs all the support it can get legally and financially, you will not get that here. My new CPA teaches me everything I need to know about my finances and gives me the tools to confidently run a business successfully, which is what a good accountant should do at the minimum. "Working with" Nichols and company was a shockingly horrible experience! Would not recommend.

  Both myself and my wife own our own businesses. We have been going to Nichols & Company for years. Gwen and all of her staff are amazing. They are always very responsive anytime we have questions and they have always treated us like they are still trying to earn our business. I would highly recommend Nichols & Company to anyone!

  Nichols and Company has been a real pleasure to work with in pretty much every way we could have foreseen. We own a landscape company and we met with Gwen Nichols two years ago because we knew her from church and had heard of her reputation. She was articulate and professional. The atmosphere in the office was really different...pleasant and happy. Her staff were very patient and helpful in explaining to us and straightening out what turned out to be a total mess that Mattison, Yoder and Company had been made of the tax preparation for our family company, Miller Landscapes of Westerville. The first year Nichols & Co discovered that we had overpaid by more than $ 25,000 in sales tax to Delaware county over the previous 11 years. And they guided us through filing an appeal with Delaware co. to get some of it back. There were several other complicated mistakes they got.corrected for us and helped us with new proceedures for our accounting. I’m not a numbers guy, I do landscaping. But I’m glad we have Nichols looking out for us regarding our tax liability. We now have them doing our personal taxes also. I highly recommend them.

  Nichols and Company dropped us as a client (both our businesses and personal) due to a "conflict of interest" with another company they work with. They claimed to have sent a letter notifying us, only we never received said letter and weren't aware until I reached out with a question. It's their absolute right to no longer work with us, but I would have expected a phone call or at the very least a letter sent certified to ensure we received it. Extremely disappointing all around.

Our records show that our firm's president spoke at length with you last year to discuss your concerns, and expressed a personal commitment to helping you find an excellent CPA fit either within our firm or another.   My experience has been very distasteful. The former employee (CPA) who filed my 2017 taxes was subsequently released from the company and I now know why. Incorrect tax rates used and math errors galore! We were notified by RITA of the above and owed hundreds of dollars after we paid over $300 to have our taxes professionally prepared. I would highly recommend avoiding this company and the headache it has caused.
