  I've been a member of this credit union for a while now. Started back when they were Scott Credit Union. Loved it at first, but lately it's getting a little ridiculous. Several issues: I couldn't sign up for a mortgage through them unless I could show that I had my existing house for sale with an MLS #. Very weird... Never had a CU tell me that I can't have more than one mortgage. My other mortgage is through Regions not NHCU. They severely limit how much cash you can withdraw in a day from your checking account. If their systems are down which is constantly, they can only give you $50 in cash out of your account. Doesn't matter if you need more or how urgently you need it. No cashiers checks either... I've tried working through these issues with them, but now it is getting ridiculous. They still operate like it's the dark ages...

  Dear Mr. Bates: Thank you for the Google Review. We rely on our members' comments and feedback so we know where we could improve. Unfortunately we do not finance two personal mortgages at the same time. We can finance a vacation home at the same time as a home mortgage, however, as long as it's not in the same area as the primary residence. As for the withdrawal limit, we do have a limit of up to $1,000/day for security purposes, unless you notify us beforehand that you want to increase your withdrawal limit. Our VISA Debit Card page on our website has more information about our $500 withdrawal limit. If you would like to increase your daily withdrawal limit, please call our Member Services Center at 251-316-3240 so they can make that change for you. And you are correct, if our systems are down due to inclement weather, we can only allow members to withdraw $50, again, for security reasons. Otherwise, it is up to $1,000/day from one of our branch ATMs (done in separate transactions of $500). As for our system outage on Friday, May 20, that was completely out of our control. Due to the high winds in our area, the internet connectivity was down, as was the internet connectivity for other businesses around us. Our systems being down doesn't happen often, so we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you with the cashiers check.   I have been using NHCU for several years now. Kathi McCammon is the best in the business. Anytime I need a loan, she gets me taken care of , usually the same day.   My husband banks with New Horizon for about 2 years now and I honestly was the one who wanted him to go there instead of going where I bank. I'm so glad he did! This bank is nothing but amazing from the building, staff and management. Every time we go in there we are treated me a smile and with the up most respect. The ladies in the front are very knowable and they help with anything my husband and I need answers to and it's usually a lot. The manager, Mrs. McCammon is so professional and greets you with open arms and a understanding and determination to help us with anything that we need from loans, bank statement, etc. always feel like family when we go there. I can go on and on about this bank and as soon as I change my last name I know I will be joining my husband at New Horizon in Daphne, Alabama.

  I have been a member 16yrs with New Horizons Credit Union at the Daphne Branch. Mrs Kathi McCammon has always been such a big help with everything I’ve needed through a loan process. She goes above and beyond. Kalee Modispacher has always been extremely helpful with every visit to the Branch. She is very knowledgeable and takes her job very serious. I would encourage anyone to see them.
