      STEER CLEAR. They gave me a preapproval on a mortgage, I put an offer on a home. Unprofessional. Month now til closing they got back to me and essentially said "for this short period of time you were affected by covid (furloughed) we are not able to complete the loan." Why preapprove me?! Government mandated requirement that all businesses close? Been back at work for 5 months. Just steer clear.

      Where I was from originally NBT bank was the most common. I have had nothing but a positive experience with any branch. My experiences have been so positive than in spite of the fact that the closest branch is over an hour away , this one, I still remain in spite of it being a slight inconvenience to me at times. I tend to do things online and through the mail. I've been with 4 banks through the year NBT has been my favorite and my experience here has been particularly positive

      Total pain to deal with. Unprofessional. Just called with a question on my car loan and I think the rep said uhh...umm... about 30 times in 6 minutes while mouth breathing in my ear and I still don’t think he knew what he was talking about. Will never bank or finance anything with them again. Horrible, frustrating service.
