I'll be moving to another city and closing my account here soon. Even though I've had a bank account here since the late '90s as a kid/teenager, I can't say I will be missing Navy Army. I've had some issues with them through the years. For example, on multiple occasions, when I've needed them to do something, they could not help me because their computer network was down. Furthermore, they also don't take the time to work on customer service improvements, such as placing forms online for the convenience of customers. Their debit cards, which they are always pitching, offer pittance awards (ex. like if you spend $1,000 or $2,000 you might get enough points for a $10 food processor lol). You also can't use your card for international purposes, which is kind of a bummer. To be fair, it might be to prevent fraud, but fraud still can occur regardless. In fact, someone stole my debit card info., and I had to come to the credit union to fill out a form contesting the charges. You only have so many days to catch these charges, and you have to wait 30 or 60 days until they make a decision whether you are responsible for these charges or not. In addition, my husband also had a negative experience getting a motorcycle loan through this credit union. The person on the other end, who was hard to get a hold of in the first place, left us and the dealer waiting for what seemed like an hour before we were approved. It was so embarrassing! These problems/issues lead me to the conclusion that Navy Army CCU is being poorly managed. I don't blame the employees themselves but their leadership who is making investment decisions, or rather lack of investment in basic IT infrastructure and customer service. My husband stopped banking here and opened an account with a major bank and the service there seems much, much better. Guess time and circumstances have finally prodded me to make the switch.

I withdraw cash recently and it was taken from my savings instead of checking. I don’t understand, is it that difficult? Also, customer service is important, teller must have eye to eye contact and engaging with customers. You hand over the money with a smile and not look like you are disregarding the customer. No wonder I prefer drive through ATM. I gave two ratings bc there have been a time that service was ok which is on another branch location that is. Service definitely needs improvement.

Dont trust them with your small businesses. Left 2 invoices for branch manager and she NEVER called me back instead had one of her workers call. Not professional at all. They wont protect your business at all.

Tried to setup a business checking account. Was told "no" and "I can't" to often. I had a long review typed out, but nothing will change. Your people are to busy telling me what they can't do for me than telling me what they can do. I went to their competition and gave them my business.

Opened an account with Navy Army CCU with Megan M. She was super nice and patient with me making sure to explain everthing in detail. She even helped me activate my card even when the office was closed (I didnt realize they closed at 4:30) she did not make me feel like i was a burden.

      Response from the owner

We are excited to have you as a new member! Thank you for your feedback and welcome to the NavyArmy family!

Hello. Thank you for calling Navy Army Community Credit Union. You have reached us after hours. How can I help you? I'm sorry, I didn't understand that. I'm sorry, I didn't understand that. I'm sorry, I didn't understand that. Goodbye. This credit union is experimenting with just how few and inconvenient their hours can be. If you work, you'll never get to bank. If they fraud alert your card, you may not get to use it for days.

I had a last minute emergency and their representative Erika Deleon from the Flour Bluff location was extremely helpful and patient. She took initiative to ask the right questions and offered me multiple solutions. She's super energetic and professional! Thumbs up! If you need fast, quality service, I highly recommend Erika!

if i could do 0 stars i would, im so tired of this credit union, its worse than a bank. its impossible to get ahold of anyone and they post your direct deposit in the middle of the day rather than in the morning when other banks do. its always something i could go on and on. ive had an account here for 7 years and im in the process of getting everything moved over so i can cancel my accounts here

I work for tips as a bartender, so once a month I bring a lot of cash in to deposit, and they are always so happy to help. They never get annoyed by my stacks of small bills, and are always smiling and positive to interact with.

I have been a loyal member for over ten years and I will never change banks. Interest rates on checking and CDs are highest anywhere.
